Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Carlingford last night.

Shortly after 8pm (Sunday 1 July), a 27-year-old employee was confronted by two males inside the service station on Pennant Hills Road.

The men had their faces covered and were armed with a knife.

The employee was grabbed and threatened with the weapon before being ordered to hand over cash.

The two men ran from the shop area and drove away towards Jenkins Road in an unknown vehicle

Police from The Hills Local Area Command established a crime scene which was attended by officers from the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit (FARU).

At this stage, investigators have only limited descriptions of the two men involved.
