A man has been arrested following alleged assaults at a hotel in Windsor earlier in the year.

About 1am, Saturday 5 May 2012, a 19-year-old man was involved in an altercation at a hotel in George Street when he was allegedly assaulted.

A 21-year-old woman who tried to intervene in the matter was also allegedly assaulted.

During the incident the woman was allegedly head-butted and fell to the ground.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Hawkesbury Hospital for treatment of facial injuries.

Police from Hawkesbury Local Area Command were notified about the incident and commenced investigations into the matter.

Earlier this morning (Thursday 26 July 2012), detectives attended premises in South Windsor where they arrested a 22-year-old man.

He was taken to Windsor Police Station and is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Charges are expected to be laid in regards to the assaults
