Police have charged two local men following the armed robbery of a pharmacy at Coomera yesterday morning.

It will be alleged around 10am a man entered the Harbour Village Parade store armed with a knife before demanding prescription medication from an employee.

The man allegedly stole a quantity of medication and a sum of cash before fleeing the store in a vehicle with another man.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

A 30-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were both charged with one count of armed robbery and will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
