Police are searching for a man following an attempted armed robbery in Southbank last night. Investigators have been told a man approached the drive through window of the Kings Way restaurant on foot and jumped through the window shortly after 10.20pm. Once inside he attempted to remove a cash register and threatened staff members with what is believed to be a wrench. When staff members refused to hand over cash, the man exited the store through the front door and fled empty handed. No one was injured during the incident. Police have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
