Investigators from Prahran Embona Taskforce are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Malvern East on Tuesday.
Investigators have been told a man attended a service station on the corner of Dandenong and Tooronga Roads just before 3.30am.
The man, armed with what appeared to be a screwdriver, waited outside the store for a short time before entering.
This man made a demand to the attendant who handed over an amount of cash. The man then left.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man is described as wearing a black and white beanie or balaclava, a grey hooded windcheater with a white round logo on the upper left breast and front zip-up pockets, grey track pants with two dark stripes down the side, dark coloured ASICS shoes with white stripes and black gloves.
Investigators have released images on a man they would like to speak to.
