Police are investigating the armed robbery of a pizza store at Bracken Ridge last night.

Around 11.20pm, a man has entered the Gawain Road business, produced a machete and demanded cash.

The store attendant has been handed a grey shopping bag, and has placed a sum of cash from the till into the bag.

The man has then grabbed the bag, fled the store and was last seen running towards Norris Road.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, of a slim build and around 175cms tall.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper with a white logo on the front and back and black trousers.
