Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a hotel at Redfern last night.
About 9:40pm, Saturday 18 August 2012, a man who had his face covered by a piece of cloth, entered the hotel on the corner of Redfern and Pitt Street.
He approached the bar area and pointed what is believed to be a handgun at staff before demanding cash from the register.
The man was handed a sum of cash before fleeing the hotel on foot.
Police were contacted and officers from Redfern Local Area Command attended the hotel a short time later.
A crime scene was established and examined by officers from the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit
Redfern Detectives are investigating the robbery and are looking for a man who has only been described as wearing a cream coloured hat, wearing gloves and a white piece of cloth across his face.
