Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Ethelton last night.
At about 8pm, the victim, a 28-year-old woman disembarked from a train at the Ethelton Railway Station and walked south along Causeway Road then onto Bower Road.
As she walked along Bower Road she noticed a male on a toy scooter on the opposite side of the road who appeared to be following her.
When she got to the intersection of Bartley Terrace the male crossed the road to her side of the road and began verbally abusing her.
She then ran east along the southern side of Bower Road, the male chased her and assaulted her.
The suspect fled with the victim’s wallet and was last seen heading south along the western side of the lake.
The victim was treated in hospital for facial injuries sustained in the incident.
The suspect is a man of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late teens or early 20’s, about 170cm tall, average build, clean shaven with dark wavy hair and bushy eyebrows which joined in the middle.
He was wearing a grey hooded jumper with red lettering across the front, dark coloured ‘workman’ type trousers and sneakers.
At the time he was riding a toy silver scooter.
