Last Friday, 14 September, a man dressed in a hooded jacket, entered a Welland service station and allegedly demanded cash and cigarettes threatening staff with a sawn off rifle.

He left with an amount of cash and cigarettes.

The console operator was not injured.

On Saturday Detectives from Western Adelaide CIB arrested an 18-year-old man from Hindmarsh in relation to this matter.

He has been charged with aggravated robbery and firearm offences.

His bail was refused and he will attend the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later this morning.
