Detectives from Operation Counteract have today arrested a 23 year old man of no fixed address and charged him with six counts of aggravated robbery.

Police will allege the man is a suspect in six robberies on chemists and a liquor store, which have predominantly occurred in the northern suburbs since the 14th of September.

Police will allege that the man, armed with a knife and at times heavily disguised, entered the stores and threatened staff with a knife.

No-one was physically injured during the robberies and money was stolen on each occasion.

Police are investigating other robberies which have been committed on chemist stores over this same period.

Bail has been refused and the man will appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
