Police are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel in Withcott that occurred overnight.
Initial information suggests that at around 10.30pm, a man has tried to gain access to the Warrego Highway hotel through a door at the rear of the premises.
He has left and returned several minutes later with a mattock and has forced his way in through the door.
He has made demands for money from staff members, and they handed over a sum of cash.
During the robbery, a patron has received a minor injury to his head during a scuffle with the man.
No one else was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 180cms tall and of a proportionate build.
He was last seen wearing black jeans, a dark blue hooded jacket, and a black baseball cap.
Police investigations are continuing.
