Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred at a service station in Rosewood.
Initial information suggests that at around 5 this afternoon, a man has entered the business on John Street and produced an object that was under a towel.
He has demanded cash from the attendant, but has then left without any cash or property.
He was last seen in an older model, faded yellow hatch back driving towards the round about on John Street.
The man is described as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, around 160cms tall and of a proportionate build.
He was last seen wearing a black beanie, a black long sleeved t-shirt, and dark track suit pants.
Police investigations are continuing.
