Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify two men following an armed robbery in Maribyrnong in August.

Detectives from Altona North Embona are investigating the incident, which occurred on Friday, 3 August.

Two men entered the store on Raleigh Road around 5.15am and one approached the attendant, threatening him with a knife and demanding cash.

The second man stood at the front door then both left the store with the money, heading east towards Navigator Street.

No one was injured during the incident.

The first man is described as Caucasian, while the second man is believed to be younger and of Asian appearance. The second man also put on a balaclava shortly after entering the store.

Police have released images of two men they believe can assist with their enquiries.
