Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to following an armed robbery at a video store in Bon Beach in August.

Detectives from Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit also believe there are a number of people who witnessed the incident on Thursday, 30 August who are yet to come forward.

Investigators have been told a man carrying a backpack entered the store on Nepean Highway just before 10.30pm.

It’s alleged the offender started putting DVDs into his backpack and when confronted by a staff member, threatened him with a knife.

The man has then taken a quantity of cash from the till and left the store. He was last seen running south on Nepean Highway.

No one was injured during the incident.

The offender is described as around 175cm tall with a thin build, dishevelled in appearance, and aged in his mid 20s with red hair and goatee.

He was wearing a white baseball-style shirt and jeans, and was carrying a large dark coloured backpack.

Detectives have released a FACE image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
