Police have released and image of a man who may be able to assist with their investigations into an armed robbery at Wynnum September 18.

Around 10.10pm a man entered a Wynnum Road service station producing what appeared to be a firearm and threatened the male attendant.

After taking a quantity of cash the man left the store and was last seen heading towards Moreton Avenue.

The man is being described as African in appearance, between 175 and 185cms tall, or a slim build and was in his early 20s.

He was last seen wearing a dark coloured coat with a red star in the middle, dark coloured jeans and a pair of dark slip on shoes that had cream coloured soles and laces.

Police are appealing for anyone who has information that could assist their investigations to contact Wynnum District CIB on 3308 8160 or Crime Stoppers.

The attendant was not physically injured during the robbery.
