Police are investigating the armed robbery of a bottle shop at Upper Mount Gravatt yesterday.
Initial information suggests around midday, a man entered the Newnham Road store allegedly armed with a rifle and threatened staff members.
One staff member was allegedly directed to empty the contents of a cash register into a bag.
He was last seen on foot heading east on Delavan Street.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 20 to 30 years of age, about 175cm tall, brown hair and with a medium build.
He was wearing blue jeans, a blue long sleeve shirt, cap and had cloth covering his face.
Investigations are continuing.
