Police are appealing for information after a restaurant was robbed at knifepoint at Greenacre overnight.

About 1.30am, Sunday 21 October 2012, a man approached the ‘drive – thru’ of a restaurant in Roberts Road at Greenacre.

The man ordered food and paid the male cashier who opened the cash register.

After grabbing the attendants arm and threatening him with a 10cm knife, the man then demanded money. He then climbed through the window and into the booth, where he stole a quantity of cash from the register.

The man then fled on foot and the 15-year-old attendant who was not injured during the incident, alerted other staff who contacted police.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. A search of the area could not locate the offender who was described to police as being of Caucasian appearance.

The offender was between 170 and 175cm tall and aged in his late teens or early twenties with a medium build.

At the time of the robbery the male was wearing a black hooded jacket, black track pants and a black scarf which covered the lower half of his face.
