Police are asking for the public’s assistance following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Sydney’s south-west last night (Wednesday 24 October 2012).
Around 6.30pm, two males – one armed with a pistol, the other a stun gun – entered the shop on Riverpark Drive, Liverpool, where they threatened employees and demanded cash.
The male shop owner was directed to the front counter and ordered to place money and cigarettes into a backpack.
The second male then filled another backpack with cigarettes, before the pair fled in a green-coloured early model Toyota Camry.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police from Liverpool Local Area Command attended the store a short time later and established a crime scene.
Extensive patrols were conducted throughout the area but the two males were not located.
The first male police would like to speak to is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance with a solid build and black hair. He’s about 180-190cm tall.
At the time he was wearing a black jacket and dark-coloured shorts.
The second male is also described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance with black hair. He’s around 175-180cm tall.
At the time he was wearing an aqua and dark blue striped t-shirt and blue jeans.
