Broome Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify a man they believe can
assist them with their inquiries into a spate of short-term hotel accommodation burglaries.

Over the last 30 days, thirteen burglaries have occurred at various hotels in the Cable Beach

area resulting in thousands of dollars worth of cash and electronic devices being stolen.

Yesterday, as part of their investigation, police tried to speak to a man located near the

vicinity of a recent burglary but he fled on a pushbike. He left behind a bag containing

several items of stolen property.

The man is described as 25 to 30 years of age, approximately 173 to 183cms tall, slim build

with black curly hair, possibly tied in a ponytail. He was unshaven with a moustache.

He was wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans and may have skin missing from his feet due

to running on bitumen and bushland barefooted.

He was seen riding an old red Cyclops brand mountain bike

Anyone with any information on these incidents or can identify the man are asked to call

Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
