June 8, 2011 – Robbery – Belmont Shopping Centre – Belmont

South East Metropolitan District Crime Team officers are seeking information regarding a

robbery in Belmont over the long weekend.

Offenders gained entry into the Belmont Forum Shopping Centre via the roof sometime

between 5:30pm Saturday 4 June and 6:00am Tuesday 7 June 2011.

They proceeded to the suspended ceiling area above the newsagency before cutting holes in

the panels to gain entry to the store.

The offenders stole cash and cigarettes before leaving the store. It is believed they exited

the store and shopping centre the same way they entered.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity or vehicles around the Belmont Forum, especially on

the roof of the centre or has any information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime

Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
