Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a take away food store in Boondall last night.
Around 10.30pm a staff member was confronted by two men as she opened the rear door of the shop. One man was armed with a screwdriver and demanded money.
The worker was able to close the door on the intruders and both men fled empty handed.
The only description available of both men is: approx 178 cm tall, medium build, dressed in long dark pants, a dark jumper and wearing a black balaclava.
The men were last seen running north on Sandgate Road.
