19 July 2019 – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Registered Club – Muswellbrook

Police have arrested a man following an alleged break-in at a registered club in the Hunter Valley this morning.
About 2am (Thursday 18 July 2019), a man allegedly gained access into the Sydney Street club and entered the office area, where he removed an amount of cash, before leaving the club.
Police from Hunter Valley Police District attended and established a crime scene.
About 1.30pm, officers attended Scott Street, Muswellbrook and arrested a 34-year-old man.
He was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station where he was charged with break, enter and steal.
He was refused bail to appear at Muswellbrook Local Court tomorrow (Friday 19 July 2019).
1 July 2019 – Armed Robbery – Licensed Venue – Canley Vale
Published July 1, 2019 | A crime scene has been established after an armed robbery at Canley Vale.
About 4.35am (Sunday 30 June 2019), officers were called to the licenced premises on Canley Vale Road, after two men armed with a knife entered the location and threatened staff.
They stole a sum of cash and were last fleeing on foot from the rear of the rear of the property towards Freeman Avenue.
No staff members were injured.
A crime scene has been established which will be examined by forensic specialists.
Detectives from Fairfield City Police Area Command continue with inquiries into the incident.
7 June 2019 – Charges Laid – 9 Armed Robberies – Clubs – Lake Macquarie

Police will address the media after three men were charged following an investigation into nine armed robberies in the Lake Macquarie region.
Between February and May 2019, police will allege in court that two men robbed nine bowling clubs and a golf clubhouse, while armed.
In two of the incidents, the man allegedly assaulted a cleaner with a hammer and a staff member with a metal pole.
Following extensive inquiries, strike force investigators, with the assistance of specialist tactical officers, arrested a 24-year-old man at Fishing Point just before 7am yesterday (Thursday 6 June 2019).
Shortly after, detectives executed search warrants at the Fishing Point property, a home in Rathmines and another home in Bolton Point, where a second man, aged 36, was arrested.
A third man, aged 27, was arrested in Maitland later the same day, where all three were taken to Newcastle Police Station and charged with a combined total of 37 offences.
Investigations under Strike Force Bergs continue.

18 April 2019 – Armed Robbery – Licensed Premises – Waratah
Published April 19, 2019 | Newcastle City Police are appealing for public assistance, after an armed robbery at Newcastle this morning.
Around 9.30am (Thursday 18 April 2019), officers were called to a licensed premises on Station Street, Waratah.
Police have been told an unknown male entered the premises threatening patrons with a firearm.
He then fled the scene with a sum of cash.
Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a male acting suspiciously in the area between 9 and 10am this morning.
He is described as being approximately 180cm tall, with a solid build and dressed in dark clothing. His face was covered by a dark balaclava.
8 April 2019 – Armed Robbery – Sports Club – Bonnyrigg
Published April 8, 2019 | Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a sports club is Sydney’s west last night.
About 11:50pm (Sunday 7 April 2019), a man – armed with a firearm– confronted two employees at a sports club on Elizabeth Drive, Bonnyrigg Heights, and demanded money.
The staff members complied, and the man left with an amount of money.
The staff were not physically injured.
Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
4 April 2019 – Armed Robbery – Tavern – Beenleigh
Published April 5, 2019 | Police are searching for two men who robbed a tavern at Beenleigh at gunpoint in the early hours of this morning.
Around 1.50am two men armed with sawn off firearms entered the Distillery Road tavern and made demands for money obtaining cash from two female employees, aged 48 and 27 years, and a 42-year-old male patron of the business.
The men then demanded access to a number of poker machines where they obtained further money.
During the incident it appears one of the men discharged a firearm into the floor.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Both of the men are described as Caucasian in appearance, aged between 18 to 25 years and were wearing runners, track pants, dark coloured hoodies, gloves and their faces covered.
1 April 2019 – Armed Robbery – Ice Cream Store – Aspley
Published April 5, 2019 | A woman has been charged after an ice-cream store was robbed in Aspley this evening.
At 6.20pm, a woman entered the store on Gympie Road and police will allege that she produced a knife and made demands for cash.
Staff have complied and handed her a sum of cash before she fled the scene on foot.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
Patrolling police located a woman in Carseldine a short time later and took her into custody.
A 28-year-old Chermside woman has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrate Court tomorrow.
5 April 2019 – Update – Appeal – CCTV Released – Armed Robbery – Gaming Venue, Werribee
Published April 5, 2019 | Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad have released a CCTV image of a man they are searching for following an armed robbery at a Werribee gaming venue last week.
The man entered the venue via a Werribee Street North entrance about 9.30pm on Sunday, 31 March.
He was armed with a firearm and wearing an open-faced balaclava.
The man approached a staff member and made a demand for cash, threatening them with the firearm.
The cashier gave the man a quantity of money and he left the premises via the same entry point.
He was last seen getting into a white, older model sedan that was parked in a neighbouring street.
No one at the venue was physically injured during the incident.
Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating and have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.
They are keen to speak to anyone who may recognise him or have further knowledge of the armed robbery.
Police are also appealing for anyone who may have dash cam vision of the man and the white vehicle to come forward.

3 April 2019 – Update – Appeal – Armed Robbery – Station – Hallam
Published April 5, 2019 | Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have today released images of three men that they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries into an armed robbery and assault in Hallam last month.
Investigators have been told three men were walking from Hallam Train Station towards the Hallam Valley Trail about 1.30am on 9 March.
The men were then approached by three unknown males who asked the victims for a lighter before assaulting one of the victims.
The offenders then set upon the rest of the group and stole a mobile phone.
The three victims, two 18-year-old men from Hampton Park and a 19-year-old man from Berwick were taken to hospital with injuries.
The three offending men are described as Islander in appearance and were all wearing dark clothing.
30 March 2019 – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Fingal
Published April 5, 2019 | A 24 year old female from East Devonport has today been charged with a number of matters including aggravated armed robbery, all relating to an incident at Fingal in the early hours of the morning of Tuesday 26th March 2019.
She will appear in an out of hours court at Launceston at 10am on Saturday the 30th of March.
This brings to a total of three females charged with this matter.
