Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following an alleged armed robbery at a gaming venue in Rowville on Monday.

The alleged armed robbery occurred at a gaming venue on Stud Road just after 8.45am.

A 30-year-old man was arrested by Special Operations Group police at an address in Rowville this morning.

The Rowville man was charged with armed robbery and firearms offences.

He will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged two people after a gaming venue was robbed in Tatura last year.

Two female staff members were closing up at the Gowrie Street venue about 10pm on 7 December, 2016 when they were allegedly approached by a group of three offenders.

The offenders, who were armed with a firearm and a knife, demanded cash from the victims.

A quantity of money was taken and the men left the venue.

A 37-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were arrested and remanded last night.

They have both been charged with armed robbery.

The Tatura woman will appear at the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on 8 May.

The Hallam man will face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a 39-year-old man following an armed robbery at a gaming venue in Wonthaggi last Saturday night.

It is alleged the man armed with a firearm entered the club on Graham Street about 11.40pm and stole an amount of cash.

It is also alleged the man attempted to rob the Wonthaggi golf course on 19 November.

The Wonthaggi man has been charged with armed robbery and attempted armed robbery.

He will appear at the Morwell Magistrates’ Court today.

Detectives continue to investigate the robbery of a betting agency at Capalaba on October 9 with police releasing an image of a man who may be able to assist them with their investigations.

Detectives have also released a stock image of a black 2015 Mitsubishi ASX which they believe the man may have driven.

Police have released CCTV footage of a man who may be able to assist with their investigations into the armed robbery of a Capalaba business on Sunday evening.

Around 5.10pm on October 9 a man attending a betting agency on Finucane Road approached a female staff member and threatened her before demanding cash.

The woman complied and the man then fled on foot.

The man was last seen wearing a dark polo shirt, shorts and a brown cowboy hat with a leather band around the rim.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the man in the area between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.

Police are appealing for assistance from the public with their investigations in to an armed robbery in Capalaba yesterday.

Around 5.10pm, a man was in a betting shop on Finucane Road when he approached a staff member and threatened the woman before demanding cash.

The woman complied and the man then fled on foot.

Investigators are asking for any witnesses and in particular for anyone who may have been travelling through the intersection of Old Cleveland Road and Moreton Bay Road, Capalaba between 4.30pm and 5.30pm with dashcam footage.

Observant staff at a Boronia licenced venue have proved vital to the success of an investigation into the theft of an elderly ladies bag in Boronia earlier this month.

The 88-year-old was in a gaming room allegedly being watched by the suspect before leaving onto Boronia Road on Wednesday 7 September about 12pm.

Once outside the venue, the 26-year-old man allegedly snatched the woman’s handbag, containing a large sum of money and personal effects before pushing her to the ground and fleeing.

Staff rushed to the assistance of the lady, who requires a walking frame to get around and police were called.

Knox Crime Investigation Unit commenced an investigation and due to a hot tip from staff at the venue, the accused was located back there on Friday and subsequently arrested.

The 26-year-old man alerted police to where he disposed of the bag and it was recovered along with the woman’s deceased husband’s jewellery that was inside it. The cash however, was missing

The man was charged with robbery and bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

Police are appealing for information following the robbery of a betting facility in Mayfield yesterday.

About 8.10pm (Monday 29 August 2016), a man entered the Maitland Road facility and approached the counter.

He engaged in conversation with an employee before allegedly producing a knife and demanding money from the till.

The male employee handed the man an amount of cash before he ran from the store.

He is described as being aged between 25 and 30, with a medium to stocky build and about 178cm tall.

There were no customers on the premises at the time of the robbery, and police are now appealing for anyone who may have information that could assist.

Police are investigating after a man used a large knife during an armed robbery at a gaming venue in Elsternwick last month.

Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating the armed robbery which took place at a Sandham Street gaming venue about 11.25pm on 7 June.

A man entered the venue wearing gloves, a scarf over his face and was wielding a large kitchen knife.

He approached the poker machine cashier counter and demanded the staff member hand over cash.

After the offender received an amount of cash he fled the venue.

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the armed robbery.

The man was wearing a black hoodie, cream pants and dark shoes.

Armed Crime Squad detectives are appealing for public assistance after a man robbed a gaming venue in Mulgrave on 29 February.

Officers have been told a man armed with a firearm entered the hotel on Dandenong Road about 10.45pm.

The offender threatened the attendant and made demands for cash.

A small amount of cash was handed over and the bandit fled the scene.

It is believed he fled via the rear of the hotel and drove away in a dark coloured Mitsubishi Magna sedan.

The offender is described as about 185cm tall, with a thin build and light coloured hair.

He was wearing a black baseball cap with a white ‘Stussy’ logo, black hooded jacket, runners and a black bandana covering his face.

Investigators have released images of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a gaming venue in Breakwater last night.

Police have been told a man and a woman entered the venue, on Fellmongers Road, armed with a firearm and demanded cash just before 11pm.

The pair, who were wearing disguises covering their faces, left the scene empty handed and no one was injured during the incident.

Detectives have released images and CCTV of a man and a woman who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
