Police have arrested a man in Sunbury this morning following an armed robbery at a gaming venue in Keilor in June.
A 28-year-old Sunbury man was taken into custody around 10.50am by detectives from the Armed Crime Taskforce and Special Operations Group.
He is currently being interviewed.
Police remain at a property on Phillips Street, Sunbury where a number of firearms have already been located.
The armed robbery occurred at a gaming venue on the Old Calder Highway around 8.30am on 8 June.
A staff member was confronted as he opened the venue and a quantity of cash was stolen.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

A man was arrested today in connection with the robbery of a TAB outlet at Findon in July. Detectives from the Serious Crime Task Force within the newly formed Serious and Organised Crime Branch (SOCB) arrested the 33-year-old man from Daw Park and charged him with robbery and abduction. It is alleged that on 6 July a man threatened a woman as she was closing the outlet on Findon Rd, stole cash and forced her to drive him to Glenunga. The accused was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 12 August. Fawkner Embona Task Force detectives have charged a Roxburgh Park man following four robberies in Melbourne’s north-west this month.
The 25-year-old was arrested by investigators in Roxburgh Park this morning.
He has been charged with one count of armed robbery, two counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery.
The charges relate to the following incidents:
– gaming venue on Albion Street, Brunswick East, on 8 July – gaming venue on Mount Alexander Road, Moonee Ponds, on 21 July – liquor store on High Street, Yarraville, on 21 July – gaming venue on Napier Street, Essendon, on 27 July
He is expected to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this afternoon

Police have charged a man with the armed robbery of a betting agency in Sydney’s southwest yesterday.

About 4pm yesterday (Sunday 5 May), staff and patrons at the betting shop on Anderson Avenue in Panania were threatened with a knife.

An amount of cash was stolen but nobody was injured.

Police from Bankstown Local Area Command established a crime scene and interviewed the victims and witnesses.

A short time before 2pm today, police stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Eton and Flora streets in Sutherland.

Officers arrested the 26-year-old male driver in relation to the armed robbery and he was taken to Sutherland Police Station.

Detectives from Bankstown interviewed the man and subsequently charged him with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon and driving whilst disqualified.

He has been refused bail and will appear at Sutherland Local Court tomorrow.

Armed Crime Task Force detectives have today charged a second man following an armed robbery in Croydon earlier this month.
The armed robbery is alleged to have occurred at a gaming venue in Dorset Road on 8 January.
A 20-year-old Roxburgh Park man was arrested that day and charged with armed robbery and other offences.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
A second man, also a 20-year-old from Roxburgh Park, was today charged with armed robbery, conduct endangering life, assault police, theft of motor vehicle and other offences.
He appeared at an out-of-sessions court hearing and was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Police are currently in Croydon searching for a man who reportedly may be armed, following an armed robbery on a gaming venue on Dorset Road, Croydon just before 10am.
The Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT), Special Operations Group, dog squad, local police and the air wing are in the vicinity of Currong Grove following the report that a man, believed armed with a firearm, is in the area.
Mount Dandenong Road is blocked to traffic and diversions are in place while police respond to the incident. People are urged to avoid the area and remain in doors.
Police currently have one man in custody and they are continuing the search for the second man who is described as wearing a white hooded top.
Police urge anyone who sights the man or someone matching his description to not approach him and call triple zero (000) immediately.

Armed Crime Task Force detectives have this morning arrested eight men as part of an investigation into a series of alleged armed robberies at gaming venues and post offices in the south eastern suburbs.
Investigators, with the assistance of the Special Operations Group, arrested the men on Springvale Road in Springvale just after 3.30am.
All of the men are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
The arrests relate to alleged armed robberies at gaming venues and post offices in Clayton, Keysborough and Braeside over the past two months.

A man has been charged following investigations into an armed robbery at a gaming agency in Rosemeadow earlier this year.
Police will allege the robbery took place shortly before 2pm on Monday 25 June, 2012, when two men entered the agency on Thomas Rose Drive in Rosemeadow armed with a shotgun.
The pair allegedly threatened staff and demanded cash.
They stole an amount of cash and allegedly drove from the scene in a stolen car.

Detectives from Campbelltown investigated the robbery and yesterday they charged a 29-year-old man who had been extradited from Victoria in relation to a revocation of parole warrant.

He was charged at Bateman’s Bay Police Station with robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon in company, and being carried in a conveyance without consent.

He will appear in Bateman’s Bay Local Court today.
