Police have released CCTV images following the armed robbery of a drive through bottle shop in Calamvale last night (July 2).

At around 9pm a man entered the Compton Road business via the driveway, produced what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money from the shop attendant.

The male attendant handed over a sum of cash which the man put in a large black bag before fleeing the scene northbound on Beaudesert Road.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 183cm tall and was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper underneath a green coloured flannelette shirt, dark coloured pants, black shoes and a baseball cap.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man or have more information to come forward.

 

Police have charged a man following an armed robbery that occurred in Condon yesterday afternoon.

Shortly after 2pm, a man entered a bottle shop in Riverway Drive and it will be alleged that he walked behind the counter and stated that he was armed with a knife.

It is further alleged that the man then took two bottles of alcohol before fleeing the scene on foot/

A man was taken into custody by police a short time later.

A 20-year-old Kirwan man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on June 25.

Police have released vision after a bottle shop was robbed in South Brisbane on June 16.

Around 7pm, a man entered the bottle shop on Cordelia Street and produced a screw driver and made demands for money.

He fled the scene on foot after stealing a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

Anyone who may be able to identify the man in the vision or has any information which may assist with the investigators are being urged to contact police.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 175cms tall and has a short brown beard.

He was last seen wearing a high vis yellow shirt, blue pants and a blue beanie.

Police yesterday charged a 17-year-old boy with two armed robberies that occurred in Everton Park earlier this month.

It will be alleged on June 11 a teenager entered a South Pine Road bottle shop at 8.45pm and threatened the staff member with a knife demanding money. The boy took cash from the till before running from the store. The 25-year-old female staff member was not physically injured during the incident.

It will be further alleged on June 14 a teenager has entered a tobacco store on South Pine Road around 3.45pm and threatened a male staff member with a knife before running from the store with a sum of cash. The 42-year-old male staff member was not physically injured.

It will be further alleged that the boy had stolen alcohol from the Everton Park store on three occasions in May.

Yesterday a 17-year-old Everton Park boy handed himself into the Wynnum Police Station and was charged with two counts of armed robbery and three counts of stealing.

Police are investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred at Booval this morning.

At about 11.15am, two men entered a liquor store on Brisbane Road when one of the men was observed to conceal a bottle of liquor under his clothing.

When the man was confronted by a staff member, the man produced a closed flick knife before fleeing the scene with the other man in a vehicle.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.

Four teenagers have been arrested over a crime series in the western suburbs last night.

It will be alleged two males stole alcohol from a bottle shop at Findon about 5.40pm on Monday 18 June.

At 9.15pm, a man was punched to the face and had money stolen by a group of males in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer on Days Road, Ferryden Park.

About 9.50pm, a man was threatened by three males armed with axes on Second Avenue, Woodville Gardens.  He was not physically injured and the suspects left empty-handed.

At 10.10pm, a member of the public reported seeing a group of people wearing masks and carrying axes in Mallan Street, Findon.

Police searched the area and stopped a silver Mitsubishi Lancer on Grange Road, Findon, arresting the four occupants.

A 17-year-old Croydon Park boy, a 16-year-old Mansfield Park boy, and a 17-year-old Woodville Gardens boy were charged with robbery, two counts of attempted robbery, theft and carry offensive weapon.

A 17-year-old male youth from Royal Park boy was charged with carry offensive weapon.

All four were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 26 July.

Detectives from the Altona North Embona Taskforce will man an information caravan in Williamstown later today as they continue to investigate an armed robbery which occurred at a local bottle shop.

The incident took place at the Douglas Parade shop when two armed men entered the store and threatened staff on 23 December.

The robbers were given an amount of cash before both ran from the store.

Embona Taskforce Detective Sergeant Damien O’Mahoney said they are renewing their appeal for witnesses to help solve this crime.

“We are renewing our appeals for public assistance to solve this matter,” he said.

“These men were both armed with guns and certainly put the attendants in fear of their lives.

“They had no qualms about arming themselves and it is quite likely that the next time they offend their behaviour will escalate to causing serious injury or death.”

The two men have been described as Caucasian, tall, thin build and wearing masks.

Investigators have released CCTV footage of two men brandishing firearms in the store and also footage of an older model white Toyota Corolla seen at the scene of the robbery.

 

Police have charged a man over two alleged armed robberies on the Central Coast.

About 6.30pm on Sunday 20 May 2018, police will allege a man, armed with a knife, entered a liquor store on Victoria Street, East Gosford.

He allegedly threatened an employee and demanded cash but was chased off with a broom.

About 7.30pm the same day, the man allegedly entered a supermarket in Victoria Street, East Gosford, and jumped onto the checkout counter.

He allegedly threatened a male staff member with a knife and stole cash before fleeing the store.

No one was injured in either incident.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District commenced an investigation.

An 18-year-old man, from Curl Curl, attended Dee Why Police Station last night (Wednesday 23 May 2018) where he was arrested.

He was charged with two counts of robbery armed with an offensive weapon and refused bail to appear at Manly Local Court today (Thursday 24 May 2018).

Detectives investigating a robbery at Deception Bay in March have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist them.

At 11.20pm, a man armed with a knife approached two women in the carpark of a liquor store and demanded money from them.

The women complied handing over cash and a quantity of alcohol to the man before he fled on foot towards a nearby sporting field.

The women weren’t injured as a result of the incident.

The man is described as wearing a navy blue and white top, navy blue trousers and bare feet.

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing for anyone that was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to contact them.

Two 13-year-old boys have been charged with armed robbery following police investigations into the alleged theft of alcohol from a Surfers Paradise liquor store last night (May 9).

Police will allege that around 8.30pm two teenage boys entered a Hanlon Street business and threatened a 22-year-old male employee with a hammer before fleeing on foot with a quantity of alcohol.

Patrolling patrol arrested two teens soon after in the nearby vicinity.

The boys are from Bethania and Kingston.

No one was physically injured during the alleged robbery.
