Detectives are investigating after the armed robbery of a bottle shop at Eight Mile Plains last night.
At about 9.30pm, two men have entered the bottle shop at a hotel on Gaskell Street. One of the men has produced a large knife and demanded money from a male member of staff.
The staff member has complied and the two men left the hotel in a stolen vehicle with a sum of cash.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
The two men are described as being Pacific Islander in appearance and left the hotel in a stolen grey Mazda 3 sedan.
Investigations are continuing.
Police are investigating an armed robbery at a liquor store in Chippendale overnight.
About 10.30pm (Friday 6 April 2018), a man entered the store on Abercrombie Street.
He approached the counter and threatened a male employee with a knife.
The man stole cash before threatening two other patrons in the store. He was last seen running towards Meagher Street.
No one was physically injured.
Officers from Redfern Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
Police wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall, of a medium build, with a red or brown beard, and was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper and black t-shirt.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
Detectives have charged two men following investigations into an alleged armed robbery in Woolloongabba this afternoon.
Police will allege at around 3:45pm two men entered a bottle shop on Ipswich Road, taking two cases of alcohol.
It will be further alleged when a staff member challenged the pair one of the men produced a knife before they fled the store with the alcohol.
Investigators attended the scene and as a result of their enquiries took two men into custody on Carl Street in Woolloongabba this afternoon.

An 18-year-old Woolloongabba man has been charged with two counts of stealing.
They are both due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 12.

Four teenagers have been charged over an alleged armed robbery at a liquor store near Lake Illawarra.
About 9pm yesterday (Monday 15 January 2018), police will allege four male youths threatened a 19-year-old male employee with a knife at the store in Tongarra Road, Albion Park.
They allegedly stole cash, alcohol and cigarettes. No one was injured.
Police from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command commenced an investigation.
About 1am today (Tuesday 16 January 2018), the four boys were arrested on the Princes Highway, Yallah, and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station.
The boys – aged 14, 16, 14 and 17 – were charged with robbery with an offensive weapon.
They were refused bail and are due to appear before a children’s court today.
Inquiries continue.
Altona North Embona Taskforce have arrested a man following an alleged attempted armed robbery at a liquor store in Altona North yesterday (10 January).
It is alleged the 48-year-old man of no fixed address attended the Millers Road bottle shop just after midday and made demands for cash, however fled empty handed.
Investigators arrested the man in Altona about 5.45pm yesterday evening.
The man was charged with one count of attempted armed robbery and one count of armed robbery, relating to an alleged robbery at a service station on the Princes Highway, Werribee on 7 January about 11pm.
He will be appearing at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today for a remand application.

Just before 6.15pm (Monday 8 January 2018), a man armed with a knife entered a bottle shop, on Willoughby Road, Crows Nest, and threatened a female employee.
The 22-year-old woman handed over a sum of cash, before the man fled the scene on foot.
He was last seen heading towards Albany Street.
No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man has been described as being of Caucasian appearance with tanned skin, a heavy build and aged in his 40s.

At about 8pm, a man entered the drive through bottle shop of a licensed premises on Stagpole Street and threatened a male staff member with a fence paling.
The man fled the scene a short time later with a quantity of alcohol.
No one was injured during the incident.
