Crimes related to the Petrol Station industry

A Salisbury service station was robbed by a woman who produced a syringe this morning.

Just before 10am on Wednesday 24 October, a woman entered the Commercial Road service station and stole drinks and food.

The woman attempted to leave the premises with the stolen items when a staff member confronted her.  The suspect produced a syringe and threatened the attendant before leaving on foot, walking west over Commercial Road.

The attendant was not physically injured during the robbery.  Police searched the area but have not yet located the suspect.  Enquiries are continuing.

Investigations are continuing into an armed robbery at Durack on Saturday October 13.

About 8.30pm, a man armed with a knife entered a petrol station on Inala Avenue and demanded cash from a 28-year-old female employee. The man fled the scene a short time later with a quantity of cash, heading north along Blunder Road.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Detectives have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist the investigation.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Durack this evening.

Two men will appear in court tomorrow after armed robberies were committed overnight in the Monaro Police District.

About 11.15pm on Tuesday 16 October 2018, two men entered a service station at Eaglehawk in NSW and threatened the attendant with a knife.

The men escaped with a quantity of cash, cigarettes and a cordless phone.

Shortly after 3am today (Wednesday 17 October 2018), two men entered a service station at Queanbeyan armed with a knife, and threatened the attendant.

The men fled with cash, cigarettes, a laptop computer and phones.

No one was physically injured during the robberies.

Officers from Monaro Police District were called to both incidents and commenced their inquiries.

About 5.15am today (Wednesday 17 October 2018) police arrested two men at a licenced club in Queanbeyan and seized a hire car.

Police will allege that officers searched and seized several items from the vehicle which will undergo further forensic analysis.

The two men, 24 and 26-years-old from the ACT, were conveyed to Queanbeyan Police Station.

They were later charged with robbery whilst armed in company (x 2) and refused bail to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 18 October 2018).

Inquiries into the incidents continue.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Annerley this evening.

At about 8pm, a man armed with a knife entered a petrol station on Ipswich Road and confronted the staff member.

The armed man removed a quantity of cash and fled the store on foot along Ipswich Road.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are seeking to locate the occupants of the pictured vehicle linked to an armed robbery at a Warner service station this evening and an earlier incident in Hendra.

At around 9:10 pm a stolen Black, Holden Trax, SUV wagon (pictured) entered the Old North Road business. One man remained in the vehicle, a second man armed with a gun and a woman got out of the car.

The armed man entered the store and demanded cash.

The two men and the woman fled the store in the stolen Holden.

This incident is believed to be linked to the earlier attempted armed robbery of a woman on The Promenade, Hendra.

Anyone who observes the vehicle are advised to contact police and not to approach the vehicle.

Police are seeking any witnesses or dashcam footage from anyone who was driving in that area at that time to contact police.

Police investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Acacia Ridge early this morning.

At about 12.40 am, three men armed with a baseball bat entered a service station on Learoyd Road and demanded cash.

One of the men took a quantity of cash and cigarettes prior to all three men fleeing the scene towards Watson Road.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.

Police have charged a teenager after an alleged robbery at a service station in Tamworth overnight.

Just after midnight (Wednesday 10 October 2018), a male entered the store on Goonoo Goonoo Road, and allegedly approached the male attendant and demanding money.

The male threatened the attendant before again demanding money from the register

Officers from Oxley Police District attended and arrested a 16-year-old boy from Victoria at the store.

He was taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with demand property with menaces with intent to steal.

The teen was refused bail and appeared at a children’s court today (Wednesday 10 October 2018).

A woman has been arrested following the robbery of a Gilles Plains service station last night.

Late this afternoon (Wednesday 3 October) Eastern Adelaide Detectives, arrested a 28-year-old woman for the alleged aggravated robbery of cash and cigarettes, after she threatened a service station attendant with a knife on Grand Junction Road on Tuesday 2 October.

Police also recovered most of the stolen money.

The arrested woman from Valley View was charged with aggravated robbery, she has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court  tomorrow.

Police have arrested a man in Werribee this morning following a series of incidents in Melbourne’s northwest over the past day.

It is alleged a man armed with a knife attended a service station on Horsburgh Drive, Altona North just before 3.30am yesterday morning (29 September) and fled with cigarettes.

The same man is alleged to have been involved in an aggravated carjacking on Raleigh Street, Essendon about 11.15am that morning, where a Subaru was stolen.

No one was injured during the incident and the 34-year-old victim’s car has since been recovered.

About 1pm, a second aggravated carjacking is alleged to have taken place outside a fast food restaurant on the Western Highway, Burnside.

It is alleged a man armed with a knife demanded the 62-year-old victim’s possessions before fleeing in his Holden Cruze.

That vehicle is yet to be located.

About 12am this morning (30 September), police were called to reports of a man armed with a knife at an address on Lyall Street, Werribee.

The man barricaded himself in the home and was arrested by members from the Critical Incident Response Team a short time later.

A conducted energy device was used during the arrest, with the 40-year-old Melton man taken to hospital under police guard for assessment.

No one else was inside the property at the time.

The man is expected to be charged later this morning with 17 offences, including two counts of aggravated carjacking, armed robbery, obtain property by deception, commit indictable offence while on bail, assault police and driving-related matters.

He is expected to be direct presented to Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
