Police investigating the attempted armed robbery of a chemist at Ningi on Sunday have released vision of the incident.

At around 8.30am on November 4, a man entered the business on Bribie Island Road through the automatic doors and then stepped behind the counter.

The man then threatened the male Chemist on duty and made demands for goods.

Following a brief altercation, the man fled the scene empty handed and onto Bribie Island Road where he was last seen heading in an easterly direction.

Officers believe the man depicted in the CCTV may be able to assist with investigations into the incident.

He is described as Caucasion, aged between 18 and 25 years, approximately 180 centimetres tall and wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper, dark shorts and dark sunglasses.

Anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area at the time or who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour is urged to contact police.

Detectives from Fawkner Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Ascot Vale on Friday (26 October).

Police have been told a man entered the Union Road pharmacy just before 10.30pm.

He approached the counter and made demands for the pharmacist to hand over medication.

Whilst he was standing at the counter, he pulled out a small firearm from his pocket and pointed it at the staff member and threatened her.

The staff member handed over a quantity of medication and the man fled the store on foot to a vehicle parked outside the store.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, approximately 188cm tall and was wearing ¾ length shorts, a blue long sleeve top and a black or navy and white beanie with sandals.

Two staff members, a 26-year-old Strathmore woman and a 23-year-old Footscray woman and a male security guard were physically uninjured during the incident.

The vehicle is described as an older model grey sedan.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

A man is assisting police with their inquiries following the armed robbery of Waterworks Road service station at The Gap.

Initial information indicates around 1.20am a metal pole was allegedly used to threaten an employee before the alleged offender made off with a sum of money, fleeing in an allegedly stolen white Ford Focus hatchback.

An attempt was made to intercept the vehicle however it was discontinued due to concerns for the safety of the public.

Police deployed a tyre deflation device (TDD) at Windsor however the driver drove around the TDD.

Shortly after, officers deployed another TDD on Gympie Road, Chermside which was successful.

The man continued to drive on deflated tyres before abandoning the car in a yard on Gympie Road, Aspley.

He then allegedly assaulted and threatened several residents with two people treated for minor injuries.

The Police Dog Squad tracked the man before locating him hiding under a house where he allegedly assaulted two officers and a police dog during his arrest.

The man was bitten by a police dog during the arrest and was taken to hospital for treatment. The dog and the officer did not receive any serious injuries.

Investigations are continuing into possible links with other offences in the south east corner.

Police would like to speak to anyone who has dashcam footage of a white Ford Focus XR5 Turbo hatch in the Brisbane area after midnight.

Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a pharmacy in Caloundra yesterday afternoon, have charged a man.

Around 5.15pm, it will be alleged a man entered the business on Mayes Avenue and produced a knife before demanding medication from a male staff member.

It will further be alleged the staff member compiled with the man’s demands before the man fled the business on foot.

A 42-year-old Kings Beach man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and seven counts of fraud.

He is scheduled to appear before the Maroochydore magistrates Court today.

As police continue to investigate an armed robbery at a pharmacy in South Grafton officers have warned the public about purchasing stolen prescription medication.

Officers from Coffs Clarence Police District were called to a pharmacy in Armidale Road shortly after 5pm on Monday 8 October 2018, following an armed robbery.

Police have been told that a man entered the business armed with a knife and with a bandana covering his face.

The man threatened two female employees before removing a quantity of cash, Methadone and Fentanyl patches.

The man left the pharmacy through the front door and walked to an adjacent arcade.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

A search of the area was unsuccessful but police are reviewing CCTV images from the pharmacy and businesses nearby.

Investigators continue their search for the man who has been described as wearing a hoodie over his head, a bandana over his face, dark pants and carrying a knife.

Officers have warned members of the public to be wary if offered Methodone or Fentanyl following the robbery and to report any incidents to police.

A man is in custody after allegedly threatening staff at a Kadina pharmacy with a firearm.

Police were called to the chemist on Port Road, New Town just after 5.20pm on Friday 21 September by reports a man had entered the business with a gun.

The man allegedly demanded and self-administered prescription medication.  He subsequently collapsed.

Staff evacuated the premises prior to police arrival.

Police were concerned for the man’s welfare and quickly entered the premises.  The 43-year-old Wallaroo man was taken to the Wallaroo Hospital in a critical condition where he remains under police guard.  A firearm was seized by police.

Fortunately, no staff members at the pharmacy were physically injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.

Two men have been charged over the alleged attempted armed robbery of a chemist in Sydney’s west.

Just after 4.40pm (Friday 21 September 2018), two men entered a chemist on Wigram Street, Harris Park, and allegedly threatened a female employee, stating they had a firearm.

The men demanded prescription medication before allegedly pushing her over.

They went behind the counter and looked through the shelves before a male employee demanded they leave.

Both men then fled the store.

Police were notified and officers from Parramatta Police Area Command commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, two men, both aged 43, were located at a nearby train station and arrested.

Property allegedly stolen during a break and enter at Harris Park earlier that day was found.

Both men were taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged with assault with intent to rob in company, and break enter and steal.

They appeared at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday 22 September 2018 and have been refused bail to reappear at the same court on Thursday 22 November 2018.

Detectives from Western District have released a CCTV image of a man allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery at Fulham Gardens on Monday.

About 3pm, September 17, a man walked into a chemist on Tapleys Hill Road and reached over the counter stealing money from the victim and the cash register. As the man ran out the store he was confronted by a customer who he pushed over before running off.

Neither staff or the customer were physically injured.

The suspect was seen getting into a dark Ford sedan. The Ford has been located and is being forensically examined.

Police are searching the Smithfield area after a man robbed a pharmacy this evening.

Just before 8.30pm on Tuesday 11 September, a man entered a pharmacy on Main North Road near Uley Road, threatened staff and fled with prescription drugs.

No weapons was sighted and no person was physically injured in the robbery.

The male suspect is described as Caucasian, 175cms, with a medium build, unshaven with light brown facial hair, wearing a dark coloured hooded top, blue trousers and a red cap.

He was last seen heading north along the Main North Road.

  • Armed Robbery at the Terry White Chemist on Sandy Bay Road around 4.15pm on Sunday afternoon.

The man will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court later today.
