Cash and cigarettes were stolen from a Little Mountain supermarket yesterday by a man armed with a knife.

Around 7.50pm on Sunday,July 8 a man entered a Parkland Blvd business and approached an 18-year-old female employee. The man brandished a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing on foot.

He is described as Caucasian, approximately 190cms and was wearing a black hooded jumper, sunglasses and black pants.

The employee was not physically injured and police investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a convenience store in Manly West earlier today.

At around 5.30pm a man entered the Trevally Crescent armed with a small axe, threw a bag on the counter and demanded money from a female attendant.

A second female attendant confronted the man with a cardboard box and he grabbed the bag a ran out of the store empty handed.

The man was last seen entering a white SUV which then drove off.

He is described as, 170 to 180 centimetres tall, with a slim build and wearing a blue hoodie with the hood over his head, dark track pants and black shoes.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man or has more information to contact them.

Detectives have charged two people in relation to the armed robbery of a Laidley service station on Saturday.

It will be alleged that around 7.30pm, three males entered the Vaux Street business armed with two iron bars.

They allegedly threatened the female staff member and stole cigarettes before running out of the store.

The female staff member was not physically injured during the incident.

A 20-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with armed robbery and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A 16-year old Laidley North boy has also been charged with armed robbery.

Investigations are continuing.

Mackay detectives investigating the alleged armed robbery of a Mackay hotel on June 12 have arrested a 24-year-old man.

He appeared in the Mackay Magistrates Court today charged with armed robbery in company and was denied bail and is due to re-appear tomorrow, July 5.

Detective Inspector Brendan Smith, Crime Services Mackay said this was still an active investigation with police continuing to appeal for public assistance with police re-issuing a photograph of a man they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.

“We are very keen for public assistance to help locate this man. We are also still searching for the driver of the vehicle the offenders used to flee the scene.”

“Anyone who sees the man is urged not to approach him as he may be armed and to immediately call Triple Zero (000).”

Police have released CCTV images following the armed robbery of a drive through bottle shop in Calamvale last night (July 2).

At around 9pm a man entered the Compton Road business via the driveway, produced what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money from the shop attendant.

The male attendant handed over a sum of cash which the man put in a large black bag before fleeing the scene northbound on Beaudesert Road.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 183cm tall and was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper underneath a green coloured flannelette shirt, dark coloured pants, black shoes and a baseball cap.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man or have more information to come forward.

 

Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Laidley on Saturday have released vision of the incident.

At 7.20pm three males entered the Vaux Street business armed with two iron bars. They threatened the female staff member and stole cigarettes before running out of the store.

The female staff member was not physically injured during the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who recognises the males to contact police.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a sandwich shop in Paget this evening.

At 9.10pm, a man entered the Centurion Drive store armed with what appeared to be a firearm concealed in a T-shirt.

The man made demands for cash before leaving the premises on foot with a sum of money.

The female staff member was not physically injured.

Investigations are continuing.

A 29-year-old man has been charged after the alleged attempted armed robbery of a fast food outlet at Currimundi early this morning.

It will be alleged around 4am a male driver in a stolen utility threatened a staff member with a firearm in the drive-through of the Nicklin Way business.

The employee moved away from the drive-through window and the vehicle drove away.

No one was injured during the incident.

Around 5.20am police located a utility on Joshua Court in Caboolture before it drove away from officers, allegedly evading police.

Police pursued the vehicle until it stopped on Uhlman Road at Burpengary East and the man fled on foot. He was later located by officers and taken into custody around 10.15am.

A search allegedly located a quantity of ice, a firearm and a knife.

A 29-year-old man has been charged with one count each of attempted armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fail to stop, obstruct police, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of a knife, trespass, stealing and unlawful possession of explosives (ammunition).

He is expected to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police are investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred this evening in Rosewood.

Officers were called to a fuel station on John Street at 7.40pm following reports a man entered the business armed with a knife.

He made demands for cash, and when the female attendant complied, he fled the scene on foot with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

Investigations are continuing.

Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at Bethania yesterday afternoon.

Around 5.45pm three men armed with baseball bats confronted an employee of the Station Road business before demanding he handover money.

The staff member complied with their demands and the trio fled the scene with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

No one was injured during the incident.

The three men were all wearing dark hooded jumpers and gloves.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area is urged to contact police.
