Police have charged a boy following investigations into an alleged armed robbery in Varsity Lakes yesterday morning.

It will be alleged at 6.50am a teenage boy armed with a hammer, entered the Varsity Parade grocery store and threatened staff.

He allegedly stole a quantity of cigarettes before leaving the store on foot.

No-one was physically injured during the incident.

A 16-year-old Mudgeeraba boy has been charges with one count of armed robbery.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Varsity Lakes supermarket earlier today.

At 6.50am, a male, armed with a hammer, entered the Varsity Parade grocery shop and threatened staff.

The male stole a quantity of cigarettes before leaving the store on foot onto Varsity Parade.

No-one was physically injured.

Investigations are continuing.

Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a bottle shop in Springfield yesterday afternoon.

Around 2.15pm a man entered the Main Street business, produced what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money from the shop attendant.

The female attendant complied and the man removed a sum of cash from the register and stole a bottle of alcohol form a shelf before fleeing on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man or have more information to come forward

Detectives are investigating after a restaurant was robbed in Carseldine overnight.

Initial information suggests that a man entered a Thai restaurant on Beams Road at 8.15pm and approached the front count8r.

The man produced a large metal pole and made demands for cash from a woman working at the business.

Following a verbal altercation with a man who was eating at the restaurant, the man then fled the scene empty handed and was last seen on foot on Beams Road.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

The man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, around 178cms tall and was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper and had a black piece of cloth over his face.

Investigations are continuing.

Cigarettes and cash were stolen during an armed robbery of a Wavell Heights convenience store this evening.

Around 6.35pm a man entered the Shaw Road business threatening a 64-year-old male employee with a knife before fleeing on foot.

The man was last seen running on Vale Street where it is believed he entered a vehicle driven by an unknown person. A dog was also believed to be in the vehicle. No further descriptions are available.

The man is described as approximately 175cms tall with a proportionate build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black sunglasses, red bandana and gloves and long black trousers. He was carrying two black shopping bags.

Anyone with any information, or any residents / businesses in the vicinity with CCTV, are asked to contact police.

No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.

  

Police are investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred at Caboolture early this morning.

At about 3am, a man armed with a knife entered a petrol station on Lower King Street and demanded cash from a male staff member.

The man fled the scene a short time later on foot with a quantity of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

The man is described as Aboriginal in appearance, 180cm tall, solid build and black hair.

Investigations are continuing.

A 34-year-old man has been charged in relation to the armed robbery of a service station at Nerang on July 11, 2018.

During the incident it is alleged a man entered the Riverview Road business armed with a knife. The female staff member retreated to a locked room at the rear of the store and the man allegedly removed some cigarettes before leaving the store.

A 34-year-old Wynnum West man has been charged with armed robbery.

He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police are investigating the robbery of a service station tonight at Nerang.

At 7.55pm a man has entered the Riverview Road business armed with a knife. The female staff member has retreated to a locked room at the rear of the store. The man has removed some cigarettes and left the store on foot.

The man is described as Caucasian, 190cm tall and of medium build.

Police are appealing for anyone with relevant dash cam vision or who has further information to contact police.

Detectives are investigating an early morning robbery at a service station in Kepnock.

Around 2.30am an offender entered the Boundary Street business and approached the counter during which time a firearm was produced.

They then threatened the male employee before money was stolen from a cash register.

The offender fled on foot and was last seen travelling towards Farthing Street.

They are described as approximately 165cm-170cm tall, proportionate build, wearing a yellow Jake the Dog onesie, full black mask, black Adidas bum bag, black gloves and black shoes.

No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.

Logan police are investigating an early morning robbery at a fast food outlet in Waterford West.

Around 2.30am today four males were involved in an armed robbery at a Chambers Flat business during which time two tomahawks were produced by two of the males before money was stolen from a cash register.

All four fled on foot and were last seen travelling down Chambers Flat Road heading towards Muchow Road.

The males are possibly aged in their late teens or early twenties and all were wearing black clothing and hooded jumpers. Three were possibly of Islander descent and one Caucasian.

No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.
