Detectives have charged a woman following investigations into the armed robbery of a convenience store in Clayfield on June 3.
It will be alleged at 6am, a woman wearing a blonde wig and armed with a knife confronted the female store attendant of the Sandgate Road business before demanding cash from the till.
It will be further alleged the woman left the store with a sum of cash.
A 25-year-old Clayfield woman has been remanded in custody to reappear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 2 charged with armed robbery and face marked, blackend or disguised with intent commit indictable offence.
5 June 2018 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Kangaroo Point
Published June 8, 2018 | Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store in Kangaroo Point overnight.
At 11.30pm, a man armed with an unknown implement, entered the Main Street shop and made demands for money.
The man left the scene with a sum of cash.
No-one was physically injured.
Investigations are continuing.
3 June 2018 – Armed Robbery – Convenience Store – Clayfield
Published June 8, 2018 | Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at Clayfield this morning.
Around 6am a woman wearing a blonde wig and armed with a knife confronted the female store attendant of the Sandgate Road business before demanding cash from the till.
The employee complied and the woman fled the store with a sum of cash.
The woman is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, aged in her 20s, about 160cm tall with a solid build.
She was wearing a blonde wig, a dark hooded jumper, dark pants and gloves.
Anyone who may recognise the woman depicted in the CCTV image is urged to contact police.
1 Jun 2018 – Armed Robbery – Business Premises – Carrara
Published June 1, 2018 | Detectives have charged a man who allegedly pretended to be a customer during an armed robbery in Carrara on April 2.
It is alleged during the robbery a man armed with a hammer entered the Elysium Road business and while the store attendant was busy serving a ‘customer’, stole cash and cigarettes.
A 22-year-old man from Merrimac has been charged with armed robbery and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
It follows the arrest of a Rockhampton man who was charged with armed robbery for the same offence and appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court on April 9. He was remanded in custody and is next due to appear in court on July 31.
31 May 2018 – Update – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Phone Store – Southport
Published June 1, 2018 | Police have charged a man over an armed robbery at a phone store at Scarborough Street at Southport on Monday evening (May 28).
During the robbery a man allegedly produced a firearm and obtained money from a store employee.
A 34-year-old man from Guanaba has been charged with armed robbery and enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
30 May 2018 – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Shopping Centre – Upper Mount Gravatt
Published June 1, 2018 | Police have charged a man following an armed robbery at a shopping centre in Upper Mount Gravatt this morning.
It will be alleged around 9:30am a man smashed the display window of a jewellery store with a hammer, stealing stock and fleeing on foot.
The man was subsequently detained by security until police arrived and took the man into custody.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
A 24-year-old Avondale man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, wilful damage, enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of a knife in a public place.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
29 May 2018 – Armed Robbery – Phone Store – Southport
Published June 1, 2018 | Police are investigating the armed robbery of a phone store at Southport yesterday evening.
Investigations indicate that around 5.30pm, a man entered the Scarborough Street business and waited for customers to leave, before approaching two staff-members at the front counter.
The man has then produced a firearm and threatened a 33-year-old male employee, demanding cash.
The staff-member has complied and the man has run from the store.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, slim build, with short brown hair and aged in his 30s.
Investigations continue.
28 May 2018 – Armed Robbery – Hotel – Beenleigh
Published June 1, 2018 | Police are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel at Beenleigh in the early hours of this morning.
Preliminary investigations indicate that around 2.20am, a man has entered the James Street business through the rear entrance, armed with a firearm.
He has then approached the bar area and threatened a 37-year-old female staff-member with the weapon, demanding cash.
A 42-year-old male patron has then approached the man and threatened him with a chair, prompting the man to flee from the hotel empty-handed.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance and aged in his 30s.
He was wearing a black hooded jumper, grey track-pants and had a black bandana covering his face at the time of the incident.
28 May 2018 – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Restaurant – Marsden
Published June 1, 2018 | Detectives have charged a man after the alleged robbery of a Chinese Restaurant at Marsden yesterday afternoon.
It will be alleged about 5.25pm a man entered the Barklya Place business and threatened a female staff member stealing her phone.
He then demanded keys for car from another staff member who refused. The man then left the store.
Polair located two men walking nearby shortly after and police stopped the men, one of whom had possession of the woman’s phone.
A 32-year-old Taigum man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery. He will appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, May 28.
27 May 2018 – Armed Robbery – Service Station – Spring Hill
Published June 1, 2018 | Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Spring Hill service station overnight.
Around 1.30am a man has entered the Barry Parade business and threatened the male staff member with a knife.
The man fled the store with a sum of cash and cigarettes.
The man is described as 175cm tall, brown skin and was last seen walking east on School Street.
The staff member was not physically injured during the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision or further information to contact police.
