Police are investigating after a man armed with a gun attempted to rob a fast food store at Brassall last night.

Around 9.25pm a man entered the Pine Mountain Road business armed with a handgun. The male attendant upon seeing the weapon immediately hid at the rear of the business.

The man attempted to jump the counter to access the rear of the business without success and subsequently left empty handed.

The attendant was not physically harmed.

The man is described as wearing a grey hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants and had his face obscured by cloth.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Saint Lucia early this morning.

Around 2.35am, a man entered a pizza shop on Sir Fred Schonell Drive and produced what appeared to be a firearm.

He then threatened the attendant and made demands for cash.

The attendant has complied and the man fled the scene on foot and was last seen on Mitre Street.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The man was last seen wearing dark clothing and a black balaclava.

Investigations are continuing

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Windsor overnight.

Around 10.30pm, two men have entered a fast food restaurant on Lutwyche Road and produced knives.

They made threats and demanded cash from staff who have complied.

The two men have then fled the scene on foot.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The two men were both wearing dark hooded jumpers.

Investigations are continuing.

Police have charged one man and continue investigating to identify a second man following an armed robbery in Alexandria this morning.

About 5.50am (Sunday 6 September 2015), two male staff, aged 28 and 32 were working at a cafe on Copeland Street, to start work.

Two other men allegedly entered the cafe and threatened the employees with a knife demanding cash.

One of the staff members became afraid, ran to the cool room and picked up a knife.

The two men then allegedly started to run from the location. The staff chased the men, caught one and held him while police were called.

Officers from Redfern Local Area Command attended and arrested the man. The 25-year-old was taken to Redfern Police Station.

Police commenced a search for the second man, who had stolen cash, but he was unable to be located.

The 25-year-old man was charged with robbery with aggravation and assault with intent to rob.

He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court tomorrow (Monday 7 September 2015).

Police are investigating following the attempted armed robbery of a restaurant in Redbank Plains yesterday.

Around 8.30pm one man entered the Kruger Parade business, one armed with a machete, and made demands for money from a male staff member. A second man remained outside.

The staff member chased the man away with a stick. Both men fled the scene on foot.

No one was physically injured during incident and nothing was stolen from the premises.

The first man is described as 185-190cm tall, of average build.

The second man is described as 168cm tall of average build and was wearing black.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night in Maroochydore are appealing for public assistance.

Around 6.30pm, a white sedan was driven into the drive-through of a sandwich store on Aerodrome Road.

The man driving the car demanded money from the attendant and produced what appeared to be a firearm. The attendant complied and gave the man a sum of cash before he drove off.

Images of the vehicle involved have been released with investigators believing it is possibly a late model Hyundai i40 or i45 sedan.

Investigators are also conducting inquiries with rental agencies believing the car may have been hired and are asking any agencies that may have rented such a car to either a man or a woman in the last day or so to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, with short, dark hair and aged about 30 to 45. He was possibly wearing a long sleeved shirt with patterns on the arms.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery.

Around 6.30pm, a vehicle has approached the drive through of a sandwich store on Aerodrome Road in a white sedan.

The man driving the car demanded money from the attendant and produced what appeared to be a firearm.

The attendant complied and gave the man a sum of cash before he drove off.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery.

Three youths have been charged over the alleged armed robbery of a pizza store which occurred in North Strathfield earlier this week.

About 8.40pm on Monday (24 August 2015), three males entered the store on Concord Road with their faces covered and armed with knives and an axe.

Two of the males ran towards the counter where a 42-year-old man was working, while the third male stood guard at the entrance to the store.

The employee saw the armed men approaching and he ran out the back door. A 22-year-old man who was inside the premises waiting for his pizza was threatened with a knife while they attempted to open the cash register.

Their attempts were unsuccessful and the three armed males left the store empty handed.

Police were called and a crime scene was established by officers from Burwood Local Area Command.

About 6pm yesterday (Wednesday 26 August 2015), three young males, aged 15, 16 and 17, attended Burwood Police Station in company with the Grandfather of one of the boys.

The three boys were arrested and all three were charged with armed robbery.

All three were given conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Children’s Court on 17 September 2015.

An investigation is now underway and police would like to speak with anyone who may have information that can assist.

All three men have been described as Middle eastern/Mediterranean in appearance and aged between 20 and 30.

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a fast food restaurant in West Ryde this morning.

About 12.30am (Wednesday 19 August 2015), two males walked through the drive-through area of a fast food restaurant on Victoria Road and approached a window till.

A manager of the restaurant was standing outside near the window, when one of the males took hold of him, before the second male produced a knife and threatened him, demanding money.

A sales assistant inside the premises, at the window, handed over cash and the pair fled the scene towards Endeavour Avenue.

Both employees were uninjured and contacted police.

Officers attached to Ryde Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

As inquiries into the incident continue, police would like to speak to two males who may be able to assist them.

The first male is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 18-years-old, 183cm tall, of average build, and was seen wearing a navy hooded jacket with a logo on the back and front, blue track suit pants and white running shoes.

The second males is described as being of Caucasian appearance, and was seen wearing a white hockey mask over his face, a navy-blue hooded jumper with a single white stripe on the back, dark pants, and red/orange running shoes.
