Ipswich detectives are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a pizza store in Bundamba overnight.
Just before 9.30pm four masked men threatened staff at the Brisbane Road shop with what was believed to be a replica firearm wrapped in material.
Three of the men jumped over the counter and directed staff to get on the ground while they tried to access the till.
One of the employees ran at the trio with a broom and the group left the store empty-handed.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following three armed robberies at milk bars in the Geelong area last week.
Investigators believe that the same man is responsible for the three incidents.
The first armed robbery occurred at a milk bar in Detroit Crescent in Corio about 9am on Wednesday 21 October.
Police have been told that a man armed with a machete entered the store and threatened the attendant before stealing a large amount of cash.
He fled the scene and was last seen running north towards Dearbourn Parade.
The second armed robbery took place on Saturday 24 October about 1.30pm at a milk bar on McCurdy Road in Herne Hill.
It is believed a man armed with a knife demanded cash.
A small amount of cash was handed over and the bandit fled the scene.
He was last seen driving a red sedan from Matlock Street.
Police were called to the Herne Hill milk bar around 1.45pm this afternoon after it was robbed again by the same man who stole cigarettes.
No one was injured during the robberies.
The offender is described as about 175cm tall with a solid build and was wearing a peaked cap and dark jacket with red insert.
Detectives have released an image of a man that may assist with their enquiries.
Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted armed robbery at a takeaway-food shop in Drummoyne overnight.
It was just after 10pm (Sunday 25 October 2015) that a man entered the shop on Lyons Road.
The man produced a knife and demanded the female employee give him cash.
The employee ran to the back of the shop, at which time the man fled the premises empty-handed.
Police attended the business about 10.10pm, and found the employee unharmed.
Officers from Burwood Local Area Command are investigating the incident.
They would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 40 years old, 170cm to 175cm tall, and with a medium build
At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a maroon hooded jacket and blue jeans. He was also wearing dark sunglasses.
Alice Springs Police have charged a second man for the assault and robbery of a staff member at a restaurant in the Todd Mall on 29 September.
A 20-year-old man was arrested by Police on Wednesday 7 October and was charged with:
- Aggravated robbery
The man was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court in Alice Springs today.
Alice Springs Police have charged a 16-year-old male following the alleged assault and robbery of a staff member at a restaurant in the Todd Mall on 29 September.
The 16-year-old was arrested by Police in Santa Teresa yesterday morning and conveyed to Alice Springs Police Station, where he was charged with aggravated robbery.
He was remanded in custody and will appear in the Alice Springs Youth Justice Court today.
Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a restaurant in Armidale.
About 8:00pm Sunday 4 October, two men armed with kitchen knives entered a restaurant at a shopping complex on Queen Elizabeth Drive.
The men threatened staff with the knife, Before one of the men assaulted a woman.
The men took the cash register, before fleeing on foot.
Police attached to New England Local Area Command were called and launched an investigation.
The woman did not seek medical attention.
Police are now looking for two men who may be able to assist with enquiries. One of them is described as being aged between 25 and 30 and about 180cm tall. He was seen wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, grey or navy-coloured loose-fitting tracksuit pants as well as a dark scarf/bandana with white markings covering his face.
The other man was described as being aged between 20 and 30 and around 180cm tall. He was seen wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and a dark cloth covering his face below the eyes.
Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 30-year-old woman after a woman was injured during an armed street robbery in Ringwood on 17 September.
The incident occurred in the car park of a fast food restaurant on Heatherdale Road, about 9.30am.
It is alleged an altercation occurred between two women when the victim was stabbed several times to the upper body.
A Blackburn South woman was arrested on Thursday and charged with attempted armed robbery, attempted kidnap, attempted theft of motor vehicle, assault with a weapon and other assault related offences.
Angelica Agbayan was remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
Police are investigating a number of armed robberies that have taken place across north Brisbane over the two weeks.
CCTV images have been released, and police would like people to take particular note of the clothes pictured.
The images are from robberies that occurred at:
- a Lutwyche fast food restaurant on September 6
- a Lawnton service station on September 15
- a Chermside West service station on September 15
- a Narangba service station on September 20
- an Aspley tavern on September 20.
Anyone who recognises anyone in the pictures, or anyone who may have information which may be of assistance with the investigations is urged to contact police.
Police are investigating after a man attempted to rob a takeaway store at Flinders View this evening.
Around 7.10pm a man armed with a knife entered the Ripley Road business and threatened staff, demanding money.
When his demands were refused the man damaged property before running off empty handed.
No one was physically harmed.
The man is described as Caucasian, 180 -190cm tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black jumper, grey tracksuit pants and has his face obscured by cloth.

About 10.30pm (Thursday 24 September 2015), two males armed with metal bars entered the restaurant on Gallipoli Street.
A female working in the store ran to the back. Her co-worker, a 27-year-old man, was confronted by one of the men, who threatened him and demanded money.
The armed pair fled the scene a short time later empty handed. Both employees were uninjured.
Officers attached to St Marys Local Area Command were contacted and established a crime scene.
As inquiries into the incident continue, police would like to speak to two males who may be able to assist them.
Both males are described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance. One of the males is further described as being about 178cm tall, and of solid build.
