Police are investigating an aggravated robbery which occurred overnight at Glenelg East.

Just before 1am on Thursday 13 December, a man entered a service station on Brighton Road and threatened the console operator with a large knife.

The suspect left with an amount of cash and cigarettes and was last seen heading towards Brighton Road in company with another man who was outside during the robbery.

The first suspect is described as being Caucasian, about 183cm tall, slim build with short brown hair and dark clothing. The second suspect is described as being 175-180cm tall and wearing a grey hooded top and blue trackpants.

The console operator was not physically injured.  A search of the area failed to locate the men and investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating a robbery at an Ingle Farm jewellers this afternoon.

Police were called to the jewellery store in the Ingle Farm Shopping Centre at 4pm on Tuesday 11 December after a man threatened staff and made off with jewellery and cash.  The suspect, dressed in dark clothing, hoodie and sunglasses, was last seen running towards Kylie Crescent.

Fortunately, no staff were physically injured during the robbery.

Crime scene investigators attended and examined the scene.

A man has been arrested over an aggravated robbery at a Taperoo deli yesterday morning.

Just before 6.20am on Saturday 8 December, police were called to a business on Strathfield Terrace after a vigilant motorist reported seeing a suspicious man entering the shop.

The man, who was allegedly armed with a knife, entered the shop and demanded cash from staff before fleeing the scene on foot. Thankfully, no one was physically injured during the incident.

Patrols, along with dog operations officers and PD Arnie, searched the area but were unable to locate the offender.

As a result of investigations, Western District Detectives arrested a 48-year-old Taperoo man this evening and charged him with aggravated robbery, theft and deception. He was refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police are looking for a man following the attempted robbery of a taxi driver at Fullarton this morning.

About 6.15am on Tuesday 4 December, a taxi driver was sitting in his parked car having a break on Wattle Street, Fullarton, when a man came up and tried to open his door.  The suspect threw a brick through the window and threatened the taxi driver with a screwdriver.  He left empty-handed and drove off in a small red sedan, last seen south on Sunnymeade Avenue, Fullarton.

The suspect is described as of Aboriginal appearance, wearing a dark hoodie and dark trousers.

The taxi driver was not injured during the incident.

Southern District Detectives have a arrested a man following an alleged robbery early this morning.

Just after 2am on Monday 3 December, a man entered a service station on Dyson Road and threatened the console operator with what was believed to be a syringe. The suspect left on foot with an amount of cigarettes.

Thankfully staff were not physically injured.

A short time ago a 35-year-old man from Christies Beach was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. The man has been refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates court tomorrow.

Police are investigating a theft at a northern suburbs jewellers this afternoon.

About 4.45pm on Sunday 2 December, a man used a hammer to smash a glass display cabinet at a jewellery store at Hollywood Plaza and stole several gold chains.

No staff or customers were confronted during the theft.

The suspect is described as aged in his late 20s, of Caucasian appearance, about 160 cm tall, slim build, with dark hair, light brown/blonde facial hair and possibly has a tattoo on his left cheek.

Northern District Police are investigating.

A man wanted by Victoria Police for a robbery was arrested by Southern District Police today.

Victoria Police notified SAPOL that a robbery suspect was believed to be residing in the southern suburbs of Adelaide.  Following investigations by Southern District Police, the 39-year-old man was arrested today on an interstate warrant after he was located at a bus stop on Flaxmill Road, Morphett Vale.

He was refused police bail and appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court this afternoon.

It is expected that Victoria Police will seek his extradition in relation to an attempted armed robbery in Mildura.

Detectives from Mount Gambier are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man allegedly involved in an attempt robbery on Thursday.

About 7.45pm on Thursday 8 November, a man entered a service station on Jubilee Highway and allegedly threatened staff with an imitation firearm and baseball bat before running off empty handed.

Thankfully the attendant was not physically injured during the robbery.

Police patrols conducted a search of the area but were not able to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as being of Caucasian appearance with dark hair and wearing a black hooded jumper, blue shorts and black shoes.
He was seen getting into a dark blue or black coloured VT or VX Holden Commodore station wagon. The car had no number plates or front bumper, and had a white sticker on the rear window.

A woman has been arrested following a series of four robberies on shops and service stations in the northern suburbs over the last four weeks.

Police will allege between Friday 28 September and Thursday 25 October, the woman stole grocery items from shops and service stations and when approached by store security or staff members, produced a syringe and threatened that person.

  • 28 September – supermarket at Parabanks Salisbury
  • 8 October – variety shop at Hollywood Plaza Salisbury Downs
  • 24 October – service station Commercial Road Salisbury
  • 25 October – service station Salisbury Highway Salisbury

The suspect also allegedly threatened a store security officer with a syringe at a  supermarket at Hollywood Plaza on 11 September.

Last night on Friday 26 October, Detectives from Northern District CIB investigating the crime series, located and arrested the woman after she was identified from store CCTV vision.

The 24-year-old woman of no fixed place was charged four counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated assault.  She has been refused  police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday 29 October.

There were no physical injuries to any person during any of the robberies.

Police are at the scene of an attempt aggravated robbery at Salisbury Downs.

About 3.30pm, Thursday 25 October, a woman entered a Deli on Londonderry Avenue and threatened staff with a plastic firearm. The woman demanded cash but left empty handed.

The woman was last seen getting into the passenger seat of a red hatch back which headed south on Foley Street. She is described as Caucasian, 152cm tall about 20-years-old. She was wearing a blonde bob wig, blonde fake moustache and a green and orange top.

Patrols are searched the area but have not yet located the suspect.  Enquiries are continuing.
