Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Somerville supermarket last night.

At about 6.40pm four men entered the Frankston-Flinders Road business and threatened staff with wooden stakes while demanding cash.

They fled a short time later with an undisclosed sum of money.

The offenders were last seen in a white Toyota Kluger SUV on Frankston-Flinders Road.

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Sydney’s west overnight.

About 10.45pm (Tuesday 4 July 2017), two men, armed with a knife and a hammer, entered a supermarket on Woodcroft Drive, Woodcroft.

The man armed with the knife, jumped the counter and took money from two cash registers in the service counter area.

The man armed with a hammer struck the screen of the checkout.

Both armed men ran from the store with a sum of cash. They were last seen running south along Woodcroft Drive.

Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Investigators as part of their inquiries would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist.

The man armed with the knife is described as medium build, wearing a black hooded jumper, dark track pants with a white stripe and a dark coloured cloth covering his face.

The man armed with the hammer is described as wearing a grey hooded jumper, dark track pants and a blue cloth covering his face.

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Bundoora supermarket in mid-June.

At about 5pm on 12 June a man entered the Grimshaw St business and approached a counter attendant with a black handgun and demanded cash.

The man produced a bright purple or pink coloured bag for the attendant to fill with cash.

The male offender then walked out of the store where he met up with a second male who remained outside the store during the offence.

The man who entered the store is described as aged in his 20s, Caucasian with a small build, unshaven with light or ginger coloured hair, wearing a light purple beanie, a striped hoodie and dark pants.

The second man is described as wearing a dark coloured jacket with a grey hoodie, grey or dark coloured pants and dark coloured runners.

A man has been charged following two alleged armed robberies at Kallangur yesterday.

It will be alleged that around 4.40pm, a man went into a takeaway shop on Anzac Avenue, approached a young female employee and ordered food.

As the employee began to prepare the order, the man allegedly went behind the counter, picked up a knife and threatened her, demanding money.

The employee complied and the man fled the premises with a sum of cash.

It will be further alleged at around 6.30pm the same man entered a licenced premise on Anzac Avenue, approached the counter and demanded money from the male store attendant.

The man allegedly indicated he had a weapon concealed under his jumper and threatened the attendant.

The store attendant complied and the man left the business with a sum of cash.

Police patrolling the area later located a man allegedly meeting the same description about to leave a licenced premise in a taxi.

He was intercepted and taken into custody without further incident.

The 23-year-old Griffin man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and is due to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a supermarket in Mount Gambier tonight.

Just after 7pm, Friday 16 June, a man armed with a knife entered a store on Swallow Drive and threatened staff before leaving with cash.

Thankfully the victim was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, 175cm tall, wearing a black and white jacket and light coloured pants. He was also wearing a black balaclava.

Brimbank Embona Taskforce detectives have charged four men following an alleged ram raid at a grocery store in Newport this morning.

It is alleged goods including cigarettes and alcohol was stolen after four men attended a Challis Street store just after 3am.

Four men were subsequently arrested in St Albans and have now all been charged with burglary, theft, theft of motor vehicle and possess prohibited weapons.

The men, an 18-year-old Altona North man, a 20-year-old St Albans man, a 19-year-old Altona man and a 21-year-old Hoppers Crossing man have been remanded to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery in Riverwood yesterday.

About 6.45pm (Thursday 22 June 2017), an employee of a small supermarket on Belmore Road was alone while re-stocking the shelves.

A man entered the store and produced a set of long-bladed garden shears as he approached the 36-year-old female employee.

He directed the woman to the cash registers and demanded money from both tills.

The woman complied and handed the man an amount of cash before he ran from the store.

Police were called and a crime scene was established by officers from St George Local Area Command.

The man has been described as Pacific Islander/Maori in appearance, about 170cm tall with an average build and wearing a long sleeve ‘high-visibility’ shirt. He had dark blue pants that were covered in mud, and he was barefoot. At the time of the robbery he had his face covered with a jumper.

Police are appealing for assistance following an armed robbery at Lalor Park today.

About 1.30pm (Saturday 17 June 2017), two men with their faces covered and armed with axes entered a supermarket on Freeman Street.

They approached a female shop assistant at a register and demanded cash to which she complied.

A customer standing nearby was also approached for cash to which he complied with the demand.

Both men then ran from the scene.

Police from Blacktown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Officers would like to speak with two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

One man was described as being of Caucasian appearance. He was last seen wearing blue tracksuit pants, a grey jumper and a white face covering.

The other man was also of Caucasian appearance. He was last seen wearing dark coloured jeans, a dark coloured jacket with red stripes on the arms, a red cap and a dark face covering.

Police have released CCTV images as they continue to investigate an attempted armed robbery in Marrickville last month.

About 6.15pm on Sunday 28 May 2017, a man entered a supermarket on Illawarra Road and threatened an employee with a knife.

The man left the store and was last seen riding a red mountain bike south on Illawarra Road.

Police from Marrickville Local Area Command are investigating the incident and have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being in his late 40s or 50s and Caucasian in appearance. He is between 170-175cm and has a thin build. He may have a tattoo on the back of his left hand. In the CCTV images the man is seen wearing a black hooded jacket with a small white symbol on the back, dark grey pants, white runners, black sunglasses and an orange and black helmet.
