Two women have been arrested after allegedly stealing designer handbags from a Hyde Park Boutique.

Just after 3pm, Thursday 13 July, patrols were called to King William Road after reports of an aggravated robbery.

Two women entered the Boutique stealing three handbags. One of the shop assistance chased the women out of the store and challenged them as they got into a car. The women threatened the staff member before driving off.

Police located the vehicle at a Plymton Park address they searched the home and found the handbags and other stolen items.

A 28-year-old woman from Park Holme was charged with aggravated robbery, theft and unlawful possession.

A 25 year-old woman from Christie Downs was charged with aggravated robbery.

Both women were refused bail and are expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

Detectives from the North West Metro Serious Crime Taskforce arrested two people last night as part of an investigation into a series of armed robberies in the northern suburbs.

A 21-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy, both from Heidelberg West, were arrested at the intersection of Murray and Plenty roads in Preston shortly after 7pm on Thursday, 20 July.

They have both been charged with a series of offences including armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, robbery and assault.

Both faced an out of sessions court hearing last night and were remanded in custody.

The 21-year-old will appear at Melbourne Magistrate’s Court today while the teenager will appear at a children’s court today.

The investigation into the series of five armed robberies, which took place in Heidelberg West and Preston between 17 and 18 July, remains ongoing.

A man has been charged over an alleged armed robbery at a hostel in Griffith.

About 3am on Tuesday 27 June 2017, police will allege the 22-year-old man robbed and threatened a 24-year-old man while armed with a knife in a hostel on Scenic Drive.

He then allegedly stole two safes and a car.

Police attached to the Griffith Local Area Command arrested the man yesterday (Monday 17 July 2017) just before 2pm on Watermain Street, Narrandera.

He was taken to Narrandera Police Station and charged with armed robbery, aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, and take and drive conveyance without consent of owner.

The man was refused bail to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court today (Tuesday 18 July 2017).

Investigations continue.

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a cake store at Morayfield earlier today.

Around 9.50am a man entered the Morayfield Road business armed with knife and made demands for money from the till.

The man continued to menace staff with the knife before obtaining money from the till and running out of the store heading in a southerly direction.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

The offender is described as being aged in his 20’s, Caucasian, approximately 175cm tall, proportionate build with a blondish coloured beard (approximately three days of growth) and what appeared to be blonde-coloured hair.

He was wearing black shorts, a light blue hooded jumper with the hood up, black trainers and a black backpack.

Investigations are continuing.

Police have charged four teens in regards to an armed robbery in Thornbury today.

It is believed the alleged offenders entered a Miller Street retail outlet at about 2pm armed with hammers and an axe, removing cigarettes and a quantity of cash before leaving the scene in a car.

Police arrested a 15-year-old from Truganina, a 16-year-old from Reservoir and two 16-year-olds from Tarneit shortly after in nearby parkland in relation to the armed robbery.

No one was injured during the incident.

All four have been charged with armed robbery and associated offences and are currently awaiting out of sessions bail/remand hearings.

Police are investigating an armed robbery on an adult store in South Morang last month.

Investigators have been told a male entered the Oleander Drive business about 6.17pm on 11 June.

The man returned at 7.40pm, walked around the counter with a small axe in his hand and removed a quantity of cash from the till before leaving the store.

The man is described as Caucasian, 180cm tall, large build and was wearing a grey jumper over a high vis hooded top

A man will face court today charged over an alleged robbery attempt and subsequent domestic violence incident at Muswellbrook.

Police have been told about 2.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 5 July 2017), a man was working at a motel on Maitland Street when another man, armed with a knife, threatened him and demanded cash.

The man then left on foot and was allegedly involved in a domestic violence incident in Ruthwhite Avenue.

Officers from Hunter Valley Local Area Command were notified and attended a short time later.

During the course of the arrest, police deployed a TASER to subdue the man.

He was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station, where he was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon, common assault (DV), two counts of breaching an AVO, and two counts of destroying or damaging property (DV).

The man was refused bail and is due to appear in Singleton Local Court today (Thursday 6 July 2017).

Detectives are investigating after a newsagency was robbed this morning at North Ipswich.

Around 6.50am a man has attended at the Pine Mountain Road business and threatened a female staff member with a knife.

The man left the store with a sum of cash.

The man fled in a black vehicle with no registration plates which was being driven by another person.

The man is described as medium build, 170cm tall and wearing black clothing.

The staff member, a woman in her seventies, was not physically injured during the incident.

The vehicle was located at 7.10am on fire at Fotheringham Street, Ipswich. Subsequent checks indicated the vehicle was a Mazda CX9 stolen on June 20 from Fig Tree Pocket. The vehicle was destroyed by the fire.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or people with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to contact police.

Detectives from Frankston Embona Taskforce have arrested a Frankston man in relation to a series of alleged armed robberies.

The 29-year-old was arrested after running from police when they attended an address in Tamarisk Drive, Frankston North to make enquires about the robberies.

He was interviewed over incidents in Dandenong South, Braeside, Carrum Downs, Frankston and Baxter which occurred in the last month.

The man faced an out of sessions hearing and was charged with armed robbery and burglary.

He has been remanded to appear at the Frankston Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

A silver Nissan Navara that police were looking for has also been located.

Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist with the investigation of an armed robbery of a newsagent in Brighton on June 17.

At 6.30am, a man armed with a large knife entered the Beaconsfield Terrace shop and demanded cash and cigarettes from the 66-year-old female employee.

The man left the scene with a sum of money in a silver BMW 323i with Queensland registration 369SJQ (pictured below).

This vehicle was stolen from a Carrothool Place, Mooloolaba address on June 14 and has been involved in numerous offences since.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 178cm tall with a slim build and was wearing a grey hooded jumper, black track pants with a red stripe, red gloves, white joggers and had his face covered with a dark-coloured bandana.

Police are appealing for anyone with further information to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.

Investigations are continuing.
