A woman has been charged with aggravated robbery in connection with an incident at a newsagency on Jetty Rd, Glenelg earlier this month.

On Saturday police released an image of the woman seeking public assistance to identify her.

It was alleged on 9 May she assaulted a staff member from the business after she was approached about stealing items from the business.

Police from the Sturt Local Service Area yesterday arrested and charged a 26-year-old woman from Morphett Vale with aggravated robbery, unlawful possession, carrying an offensive weapon and assault.

She was refused bail and is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a business in the Lake Macquarie Local Area Command.

About 8.55pm on 8 January 2017, two men, with their faces covered, entered the premises on Rawson Street, Swansea carrying a shortened shotgun.

They threatened staff before fleeing with an amount of cash.

A vehicle believed to have been used by the two men to flee the scene was later recovered burnt in bushland in the Nords Wharf area.

Detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad, State Crime Command, are investigating the incident and have released CCTV images that depict two men who police believe can assist with the investigation.

Detectives are investigating following an armed robbery at a Chermside shopping centre, April 24.

Initial investigations indicate about 11.15am that day a man entered the discount store at the corner of Gympie and Hamilton roads with a knife and demanded money from a staff member.

The man then left the store a short time later with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Detectives are appealing for any information that might help identify a man (pictured) who may be able to assist police with their inquiries.

Investigations are continuing.

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following an armed robbery at a post office in Churchill and two attempted armed robberies in Moe.

It is alleged the man armed with a firearm entered the post office on West Place in Churchill on 21 April and made demands for cash which was handed over.

The attempted armed robberies allegedly occurred at a service station in Moe on the 19 April and a Moe post office today.

Police arrested the Morwell man in Moe this morning.

The 68-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery, two counts of attempted armed robbery and theft.

He will appear at the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court today.

Inquiries continue following an armed robbery in South Windsor early this morning.

Just before 3.15am (Thursday 4 May 2017), two men armed with machetes forced entry to a business on George Street.

Police have been told the employee, a 21-year-old man, was threatened before the men took cash and cigarettes, and fled the scene.

The man was uninjured.

Officers from Hawkesbury Local Area Command were notified of the incident and commenced investigations.

Police are searching for a black Commodore after a woman stole clothing at knife-point at Mawson Lakes this afternoon.

Just after 12pm on Friday 21 April,  the woman allegedly stole four pairs of jeans from a clothing shop on Main Street at Mawson Lakes and ran from the store.

The suspect was pursued by shop staff,  but the woman produced a knife when approached and threatened the male shop assistant.

The woman described as of Aboriginal appearance about 40-years-old, with no front teeth and wearing a dark hooded top and blue jeans. She was seen to get into a black Holden Commodore registration S535AGF which was driven by a man.

There were no injuries in the incident.

A man has been charged after an alleged armed robbery at St Marys yesterday.

About 2.35pm (Thursday 13 April 2017), a man entered a pawn broking business on Queen Street, St Marys, with his face concealed.

He allegedly threatened staff with a hammer before smashing a glass display cabinet and stealing jewellery.

The man fled the scene into the East Lane car park but was chased by a witness, who restrained the man until police arrived.

The 21-year-old was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with robbery whilst armed.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Friday 14 April 2

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a newsagency at Wacol in the early hours of this morning.

Around 5.35am two men entered the Akenside Street business and approached the counter.

One of the men, who was armed with a knife, forced his way behind the counter and threatened the 59-year-old male store employee.

Demands were made for money and cigarettes by the offenders at which time the employee backed away to the rear of the premises.

The men then forced entry to a cigarette case stealing cigarettes and forcibly removed the till before they fled the scene in a blue sedan.

Both offenders were dressed in black with balaclavas.

Police investigations are continuing.

Logan Detectives have charged a man in relation to two alleged armed robberies, one in Regents Park on March 22 and the other in Browns Plains on March 24.

It will be alleged on two separate occasions a man entered a newsagency on Mount Lindesay Highway, Regents Park and then a shop on Browns Plains Road, Browns Plains. In each incident the man is alleged to have made threats holding a covered object and demanded cash.

A 39-year-old Springfield Lakes man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery. He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrate’s court today.
