Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight at Logan Central.

Initial information suggests that at around 11pm, two men approached a community centre on Jacaranda Avenue where a man was cleaning.

One of the men produced a knife and demanded the man’s phone, and when he complied, the pair then fled the scene on foot.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery, and the two men were last seen on foot heading towards Wembley Road.

The first man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s and has short blonde coloured hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and two stud earrings in his right ear.

The second man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s and was wearing a colourful striped t-shirt, blue jeans and sports shoes.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are appealing for public information following an armed robbery at a motel in Orange overnight.

About 9.45pm, (Wednesday 7 September 2016), a man armed with a firearm entered the reception area of a motel on Woodward Street and approached a staff member. The man threatened the employee before jumping the counter and demanding money.

The man removed money from a drawer and ran out the front door. The staff member called for help and several people came to their assistance.

The man was seen running north along Woodward Street before turning east into March Street.

The employee was not injured.

The man police are searching for is described as being about 183cm tall, thin build and blue eyes. He was wearing a balaclava, black gloves, dark jeans and a jumper.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery in the Bankstown area overnight.

Just before 7pm (Sunday 4 September 2016), police were called a store on Cooper Road, Yagoona, following reports of a robbery.

Police have been told, prior to their arrival, a witness saw four men enter the store. He has then locked the external entry door to the store, locking the men inside.

Police from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and allegedly found four males trapped inside the premises, ransacking the store and assaulting a 51-year-old male attendant.

When officers arrived they allegedly forced entry into the store and arrested four men at the scene.

There was a significant amount of damage made to the store during the incident.

The men have been taken to Bankstown Police Station and are currently assisting with inquiries.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended the scene and treated the 51-year-old man for his injuries. He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Two men have been taken into custody on the Monash Freeway in a dramatic arrest this morning following a ram raid in Narre Warren.

Police were notified of the ram raid after an alert member of the public noticed a van crash through the doors of a camping store and start to load up goods, on Narre Warren North Road, just after 4.30am.

The van was pursued by police for a short time before it sped off.

Another police unit came across the van with its lights off, near Hallam Belgrave Road, before it turned onto the Monash Freeway travelling inbound in the outbound lanes.

The van continued on the Monash before it crashed into a railing on the centre median strip.

One of the offenders ran into grassland before he was arrested by a canine unit with the assistance of the Airwing.

The other man carjacked a vehicle at the scene of the crash, reversed into another car, then side swiped a police car before again driving at police members when they were getting out of the van.

The stolen car then collided with a prime mover before the offender was sprayed by police and arrested.

Both men, aged 26 and 22-years, have been taken to hospital and are under police guard.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit is investigating.

No police or members of the public were injured.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Cabramatta last night.

About 10.30pm (Thursday 1 September 2016), a 33-year-old pizza delivery driver left a secured unit block on Church Street after delivering a pizza order, when he was approached by an unknown man.

Police have been told the unknown man was armed with a knife and threatened the delivery man, demanding money.

The armed man took cash and left the scene on foot towards Boundary Lane.

The man was uninjured and reported the incident to officers from Cabramatta Local Area Command, who commenced investigating the incident.

As inquiries into the incident continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of slim build and with short blond hair.

The man was seen wearing a dark blue or black hooded jumper. Any witnesses are urged to contact local police via Crime Stoppers.

Police are investigating after a paint store in Geebung was robbed this afternoon.

Initial inquires indicate a man entered the Collins Street store at about 12.10pm and placed a large quantity of spray paint cans into a bag.

He threatened a staff member with what is believed to be a pipe before fleeing the store on foot.

The staff member was not physically injured in the incident.

The man is described as being aged in his 40s with a tanned complexion and scruffy facial hair.

He was wearing a khaki bucket hat, dark khaki or black rain jacket, dark tracksuit pants, and black gloves.

Investigations are continuing.

This has resulted in an overall increase in reported crime of three per cent.

A second man has been arrested after an aggravated robbery at an electrical goods store at Marion yesterday.

At about 10.10am on Wednesday 24 August, police were called to The Good Guys store on Marion Road after reports that two men had entered the store and attempted to steal mobile phones using wire cutters.

One of the men threatened staff with the wire cutters, and another staff member was allegedly assaulted.

Staff members detained one man until police arrived and arrested him. The second man ran away.

The arrested man, a 29-year-old man of no fixed address, was charged with aggravated robbery, state false name and breach of bail and has appeared in court.

Following investigations the second man was arrested today by Sturt CIB detectives.  The 44-year-old man of no fixed place was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and breach of bail. He has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police have charged a teen following the alleged armed robbery at a store in Lake Macquarie earlier this week.

About 7.45pm on Sunday 21 August 2016, two males entered a business on Oxford Street, Gateshead.

Police have been told one male, allegedly armed with a knife, approached the cashier and demanded cash.

The pair removed cash from the register and cigarettes from behind the counter before leaving the store. They were last seen running east on Oxford Street.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command attended and conducted a search of the surrounding area with assistance from the Police Dog Unit

About 12pm yesterday (Tuesday 23 August 2016), a 17-year-old youth attended Maitland Police Station to assist police with their inquiries.

The teen was arrested and charged with robbery in company.

He will appear at a Children’s Court today (Wednesday 24 August 2016).

Investigations into the robbery are continuing.

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the NSW Illawarra region yesterday.

About 1.50pm (Monday 22 August 2016), a 46-year-old woman was at the counter of a business on Collins Lane, Kiama, when an unknown male entered.

Police have been told the youth, armed with a weapon, not further described, threatened the woman and demanded money.

She complied and he left with cash.

The woman was not injured.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

As part of their inquiries, police would like to speak to a youth who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his late teens, about 170cm-175cm tall, with dark brown hair. At the time he was seen wearing a dark jumper and dark pants.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
