Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a store in Lake Macquarie yesterday.
About 7.45pm (Sunday 21 August 2016), two men entered a business on Oxford Street, Gateshead.
Police have been told one of the men, armed with a knife, approached the cashier, a 16-year-old girl, and demanded cash.
The pair removed cash from the register and cigarettes from behind the counter before leaving the store. They were last seen running east on Oxford Street.
Officers from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command attended and conducted a search of the surrounding area with assistance from the Police Dog Unit
Investigations are continuing and police would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The first man is described as being of slim build, approximately 185cm tall and wearing a black hooded jumper.
The second man is described as being of solid build, approximately 175cm tall with red hair, and wearing a grey hooded jumper.
Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery in Salamander Bay overnight.
Shortly after 7.30pm (Thursday 18 August 2016), police were called to a store on Soldiers Point Road, Salamander Bay, following reports of an armed robbery.
The man armed with a piece of metal approached the shop assistant and demanded money from the cash register.
The man left the store on foot with a sum of cash and was last seen on Monkley Avenue, Soldiers Point.
The woman did not suffer any injuries.
Officers attached to Port Stephens Local Area Command were called and established a crime scene.
Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged between 25 and 30, olive complexion, cleanly shaven, wide nose, with a thin build and approximately 183 cm tall.
He was last seen wearing a black zip up hooded jacket with a West Tigers emblem, dark coloured pants and sunglasses with black metal frames.
A man has been arrested over the aggravated robbery of North Adelaide Post Office yesterday.
Last night, just after 11.30pm, Tuesday 16 August, police attended a Glenside home as part of the investigation into the hold up.
Patrols located the suspect inside the premises and he refused to leave the home. The house was cordoned off and STAR Group officers and negotiators attended the scene. The man climbed onto the roof. Following negotiations, the man was arrested two hours later.
A 34-year-old man from Croydon Park, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. He will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
It will be alleged at about 4.20pm, yesterday the man held up the Post Office in Tynte Street with a knife and stole cash. No one was physically injured during the robbery.
Police are investigating the armed robbery of a pizza delivery man at Deception Bay last night.
Around 8.50pm the 22-year-old man was delivering pizza on his bicycle when he was approached by two men on Deception Bay Road.
They advised him they were carrying knives, verbally threatening him and demanded money.
The pair fled on foot with a sum of cash and are described as Caucasian, approximately 180cms tall with proportionate builds.
Police investigations are continuing.
Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a newsagency that occurred in Stafford Heights this morning.
Initial investigations indicate at around 7.10am, a man entered the Farrant Street business and threatened an employee with an axe.
The male employee refused to cooperate with demands, and the man then ran from the store empty-handed.
The male employee was not physically injured.
The man is described as being approximately 173cm tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black balaclava, a high-visibility long-sleeved shirt, and dark coloured tracksuit pants.

A man will appear in court tomorrow after police charged him over an armed robbery on the far state’s south coast today.
Shortly before 8am today (Monday 1 August 2016) police will allege that a 36-year-old man entered a shop on Quondola Street at Pambula.
Inside the shop the man allegedly produced a knife and threatened a female employee, demanding cash from the register.
When the woman started to scream the man ran from the store taking cigarettes and a flavoured milk drink.
The man ran to a Toyota Hilux and fled towards Merimbula. No one was injured during the robbery.
Police from the Far South Coast Local Area Command were notified and about 8.20am the vehicle was spotted by an unmarked police vehicle and followed to Tathra.
The Toyota, a confirmed stolen vehicle, was stopped a short time later and the man was arrested without incident.
The man was conveyed to Bega Police Station and later charged with robbery whilst armed and illegal use of conveyance.
He was refused bail to appear at Bega Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 2 August 2016).
Investigations into the incident and several other alleged offences continue.

About 9.30am (Saturday 23 July 2016), a man and a woman entered a business on Carnegie Place, Blacktown, and threatened staff with weapons including a firearm and an axe.
Police will allege a 23-year-old man was assaulted during the altercation, before the offenders left the scene with a mobile phone and cordless phone in a vehicle.
The injured man was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment to a laceration.
Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries.
Shortly before 10am, police stopped a Mitsubishi Verada on Bessemer Street, Blacktown.
The four occupants – three men aged 25, 28 and 32, and a 29-year-old woman – were arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station.
The 29-year-old woman and 25-year-old man were charged with assault with intent to rob while in company causing wounding/grievous bodily harm.
They were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday 24 July 2016).
The 32-year-old man was charged with drive motor vehicle during disqualification period. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Monday 8 August 2016.
The 28–year-old man was released pending further inquiries.

A male staff member was assaulted, suffering head and facial injuries, before the offenders fled with cash.
Police and Ambulance Paramedics attended. The staff member was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.
A short time later police stopped a vehicle on Sunnyholt Road, Blacktown, and arrested the four occupants; three men aged 25, 26 and 32; and a woman aged 30.
They were taken to Blacktown Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries.
Fawkner Embona Taskforce detectives are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a Campbellfield business this morning.
Investigators have been told a man, armed with a firearm, entered the Fabio Court business and assaulted the victim about 6am.
The offender stole a quantity of cash before leaving in an unknown vehicle.
The victim, a 28-year-old Pascoe Vale man, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
No shots were fire during the incident.
Armed Crime Squad detectives have released images of two men they wish to speak to following a robbery outside a bank in Broadmeadows in May.
Investigators have been told the man carrying a back pack attended a shopping centre on Pascoe Vale Road about 4.30pm on Monday 2 May.
It is believed the offender approached the victim outside the shopping centre, making demands to hand over the bag.
He then produced a firearm and the victim handed over the bag containing a substantial amount of money.
The offender fled the scene, returning to a late model silver Mercedes.
The car was later found burnt out in an industrial area on Clifford Road in Somerton about 8pm that night.
It is believed a grey 2009 Lexus sedan, registration 1GZ 1BJ was in the same Somerton area about 8pm, around the time the Mercedes was burnt out.
Detectives have released facial composite images of two men that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The men are believed to have been in Munro Street, in the vicinity of Sydney Road in Coburg, about 4pm, which was approximately 30 minutes prior to the robbery.
