Police investigating the robbery of a Slacks Creek post office this morning have charged a man with armed robbery.

It will be alleged around 10.45am a man armed with a knife entered the Kingston Road business and demanded money from staff.

The man- who fled on foot after stealing cash- was followed by several members of the public. One, a 66-year-old Springwood man, confronted him and was allegedly threatened with the knife. The Springwood man was not physically injured.

The man ran off and was arrested a short time later after being tracked by a police dog and his handler.

A 22-year-old Brassall man has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with one count each of armed robbery and serious assault of a person over 60.

Police investigations into this robbery are continuing.

Police investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a tavern in Murrumba Downs on June 28 have released CCTV images of two men who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

Around 9:45am, two men entered the Dohles Rocks Road business and made demands for cash. One of the men was armed with a knife and the other was armed with a baton.

A male attendant complied with their demands, and the men removed a sum of money from a safe before fleeing the premises in a white vehicle.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing to anyone that might have been driving on Dohles Rocks Road on June 28 between 9am and 10am with dash camera footage to contact them.

Detectives have charged two men following investigations into an attempted armed robbery which occurred in Landsborough on June 17.

Police will allege at 6.45am two men entered a bakery on Cribb Street, Landsborough. One man purchased a newspaper and as the female employee opened the cash register, it will be alleged he produced a knife and threatened her.

It will be further alleged the second man stood near the front door armed with a metal bar.

Both men allegedly pushed past the front counter into the service area where one man attempted to pick up the cash register and leave the store.

A male employee who was working at the rear of the business challenged both men, who then fled the store in a sedan without the cash register or any property.

A 19-year-old man from Bundaberg West has been charged with one count of attempted armed robbery. He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 27.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with one count of attempted armed robbery. He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today, July 13.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding two armed robberies in Dundas this afternoon.

About 12.30pm (Thursday 14 July 2016), a man entered a post office on Station Street armed with a firearm.

He approached the counter and pointed the firearm at a 51-year-old employee who turned and ran from the counter to the rear of the store.

The armed man left the premises empty-handed.

The second incident occurred at a supermarket on Yates Road about 12.45pm.

A man matching the same description entered the supermarket and approached the counter where a 60-year-old woman was working.

The man produced a firearm and reached over the counter and stole a small amount of cash that was sitting next to the till.

He ran from the store onto Mackay Road and entered a blue Holden Berlina and left the area.

Crime scenes have been established at both stores and police are continuing their investigation.

A man described as being 175cm tall with a black goatee style beard and wearing a black hooded jumper with blue tracksuit pants that had white stripe down the side and dark gloves may be able to assist with inquiries.

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a store in Auburn last night.

About 7.15pm (Wednesday 13 July 2016), two unknown men, one armed with a knife, entered a business on Water Street.

Police have been told one of the men pushed the store attendant, a 51-year-old man, in the chest, causing him to hit his nose on a door. He sustained a minor laceration.

The pair removed cigarettes and cash from behind the counter before leaving the store. They were last seen running south on Woodburn Road.

Officers from Flemington Local Area Command attended and conducted a search of the surrounding area.

No one was found but numerous items were located seized including a knife, clothing and cash.

Police would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first man is described as being in his early 20s, wearing a black baseball cap, a black and brown jacket and black track pants with three white stripes on the leg.

The second man is described as being in his early 20s, wearing a black t-shirt, black hooded jumper with white writing across the front and grey track pants.

Detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Police have released a computer generated image of a man who may be able to assist with their investigations over an armed robbery at North Bondi earlier this year.

About 10pm on Monday 23 May 2016, a 36-year-old man was making a planned delivery for a spray paint business in a Ford Falcon wagon on Ramsgate Avenue, North Bondi.

Police have been told a white Toyota Corolla hatchback with its number plates covered parked behind him, and two men exited the vehicle and approached him.

The 36-year-old man was not injured.

Police from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, about 10am on Tuesday 24 May 2016, a 27-year-old man was arrested at a unit on Little Street, Maroubra, and taken to Maroubra Police Station.

He was charged with robbery whilst armed with dangerous weapon and is currently bail refused to reappear at Central Local Court on Tuesday 19 July 2016.

Police will allege in court that the men who approached the 36-year-old were armed with a black handgun and metal baseball bat and stole 45 cans of artist spray paint, cash and a mobile phone before leaving the scene in the Toyota.

Detectives established Strike Force Timothy to investigate the incident and as part of investigations they have released a computer generated image of a person who may be able to assist them.

The man in the image is described as being of South American appearance, aged in his 20s, about 180cm tall, with short shaved hair, and large eye brows. He was seen wearing black clothing.

CCTV footage of the Toyota Corolla involved in the incident has also been released showing the vehicle on Brighton Boulevard, North Bondi, and at a service station on Coogee Bay Road, Coogee.

A man will face court today following an attempted armed robbery in the State’s Southern Tablelands.

About 4pm yesterday (Friday 1 July 2016), a 37-year-old man entered a business on Laidlaw Street, Yass.

Police have been told the man approached a female employee and demanded drugs.

The man produced a modified razor and threatened the store manager.

At this point, two police officers attached to The Hume Local Area Command, entered the business and witnessed the attempted robbery.

The officers secured the weapon and arrested the man.

He was taken to Yass Police Station where he was charged with attempted armed robbery.

The 37-year-old man was refused bail and will appear in Goulburn Local Court today (Saturday 2 July 2016).

Police are appealing for public assistance following two armed robberies and an assault that occurred in Melbourne’s inner east earlier this month.

Investigators have been told a woman was threatened by a man with a firearm as she left a business on Erin Street, Richmond, about 8.50pm on June 13.

The man demanded the woman hand over her purse. The woman refused and the man left empty handed.

At about 10.20pm, it is believed a man was approached by the the same man in Yarra Park, who again produced a firearm and demanded money.

In this instance the victim handed over a small amount of cash and the men fled.

Police believe the same man was also involved in an assault at a carwash in Hoddle Street earlier in the evening.

Investigators have been told a male victim was assaulted by a man whilst waiting to buy a kebab. The victim received minor injuries to his head as a result of the assault.

Investigators have released CCTV images and a facial composite of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, bald, and was unshaven.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a black hoodie, and light coloured pants.

Police are investigating following an alleged armed robbery in Sydney’s west.

About 12.15am today (Friday 1 July 2016), an employee exited through the back door of a business located on Camden Valley Way, Camden.

Police have been told as the woman walked back toward the business from the toilet block, she was grabbed by a man, who allegedly produce a knife, and threatened her.

The man lead the woman back inside the business at knife point and threatened another staff member, who handed over cash before the man fled the scene.

Officers attached to Camden Local Area Command with assistance from NSW Police Force Dog Unit established a crime scene and conducted a canvass of the area.

Police have commenced an investigation into the incident and would like to speak to a man who might be able to assist with inquiries.

He was described as being of Caucasian appearance, in his 20’s, 183cm tall, of thin build and had a short brown beard. He was last seen wearing a long sleeved fluro orange hooded jumper.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact police.
