Police are renewing their appeal for information following an attempted armed robbery at a newsagency in Darlinghurst last month.
About 6:15pm Wednesday 2 October 2013, a man entered the store on Darlinghurst Road and stated he was armed with a knife and demanded cash.
A short time later, the man fled the scene empty handed in a southerly direction.
No one was injured.
Officers from Kings Cross Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.
They are renewing their appeal with anyone for information to come forward and would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Police have released CCTV footage of the man they would like to speak to. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a slim build.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, sunglasses and shorts.
Police are seeking public assistance to identify two men who robbed an Albury Street store tonight.
Around 7.15 pm the men entered the Deagon store both armed with knives threatened the female attendant and demanded money.
The men fled on foot with cash.

Police are searching for a man following the armed robbery of an adult store on Moggill Road at Taringa.
About 4pm today a man entered the store and produced a handgun before demanding money from an employee.
The man left the store after receiving a sum of cash. There were no injuries.
The man is described as about 175cm tall. He was wearing a grey jumper and blue pants.
Police are searching for a man following an armed robbery of a business on South Pine Road at Everton Park.
About 6.20pm a man entered the store and produced a handgun before demanding money from an employee.
The employee complied and the man left the store. There were no injuries.
It is believed the man fled the scene in a white, 4 door sedan.
He is described as Caucasian, about 30-years of age with short hair. He was wearing a white hooded jumper.
Police have arrested a 27-year-old man from Elizabeth South for attempt aggravated robbery that is alleged to have occurred at the Elizabeth South Fish Shop on Philip Highway on Thursday 7 November 2013. Altona North Armed Robbery Taskforce detectives have charged three men in relation to a series of armed robberies in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
These include three armed robberies on adult entertainment establishments in Footscray West, Brooklyn and Hoppers Crossing, an armed robbery on a service station in Laverton and an armed robbery on an adult entertainment store in Footscray between 26 September and 12 November 2013.
Three men aged 28, 27 and 19 from Truganina have been charged with armed robbery and other related offences.
They will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later this morning.
Five men have been charged over an alleged armed robbery of premises in Burwood overnight.
About 11.45pm (Wednesday 13 November 2013), five men entered premises on George Street and allegedly threatened staff with a firearm.
The group later fled the scene with cash and mobile phones.
No one was injured during the incident.
Officers attached to Burwood Local Area Command were alerted and launched an investigation.
About 12.10am (Thursday 14 November 2013), police located and arrested five men at a home on Allum Street, Bankstown.
At the scene, they also allegedly found and seized a number of mobile phones, cash, clothing and a BMW sedan believed to be stolen.
The men, aged 23, 21, 22, 27 and 21-years-old were taken back to Bankstown Police Station, where they were all charged with armed robbery with dangerous weapon.
All five men were refused bail by police and will appear at Bankstown Local Court today (Thursday 14 November 2013)
Investigations into the matter are continuing, together with any links to a break-and-enter in Blacktown on Tuesday 12 November 2013.

About 11.45pm (Wednesday 13 November 2013), five men entered a premises on George Street and allegedly threatened staff with a firearm.
The group later fled the scene with cash and mobile phones. They were last seen driving away from the location in an older model green hatchback, bearing partial registration AT**6Y.
No one was injured during the incident.
Officers attached to Burwood Local Area Command were alerted and launched an investigation.
A crime scene was established at the location and examined by specialist forensic officers and detectives.
Following further inquiries, police attended Allum Street at Yagoona around 12.10am (Thursday 14 November 2013), where they arrested five men.
The men were taken back to Bankstown Police Station, where they are currently assisting detectives with their inquiries.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Mount Warren Boulevard business this morning.
At around 5.50, as a staff member entered the business, a man armed with a knife entered the store dressed in dark clothing and a balaclava and demanded money.
The female staff member handed over cash and the man pushed her into the store and ran away on foot.
The man is described as a Caucasian male, 180cm dressed in black clothing, with wavy hair.
Police are searching for three people following the armed robbery of a fast food store at Banyo.
About 7pm three people, two armed with knives, entered the Nudgee Road store and demanded cash from the two staff members.
The employees complied and the three left the store with a sum of cash. They were last seen heading towards Mellifont Street.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The first person, a man, is described as having an olive complexion, 185cm tall and of average build. He was wearing dark grey shoes, dark blue jeans and a black jumper.
The second person, possibly a woman, is described as Caucasian, 160-165cm tall, athletic build and was wearing white running shoes, dark coloured tracksuit pants and a black jumper.
The third person, also possibly a woman, is described as 170cm tall, of slim build and was wearing black runners, purple/maroon long pants and a black jumper
All three had their faces obscured by cloth.
