Police are investigating after a man attempted to rob a bakery at Fernvale last night.
Around 9pm a man armed with a firearm entered the Brisbane Valley Highway address and made demands of one of the staff members.
No money or property was handed over and the man left the store empty handed.
No one was physically harmed during the incident.
The man is described as aged in his mid 20s, 175cm tall and of slim build. He was wearing dark long pants, a dark long sleeved top and had his faced covered.
Detectives from Darebin Crime Investigation Unit are investigating an armed robbery at a retail outlet in Preston this afternoon.
Investigators have been told that three masked men, allegedly armed with knives and poles, entered the Regent Street store just before 1pm.
The men have made demands for money and stole cigarettes, purses and a quantity of cash from the store owners and customers.
The men were all wearing dark coloured hooded tops and masks.
A fourth man was waiting in a vehicle outside the store and this car was last sighted in Massey Street in Reservoir.
No one was injured during the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
Police are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at a shop north of Sydney last night.
About 8.50pm (Thursday 15 August 2013), a man has entered a shop on The Boulevard, Toronto, armed with a knife.
He approached the 64-year-old female employee, demanding money.
The employee complied handing over an amount of cash.
The man pushed the woman to the ground, he then ran from the shop with the cash.
Police from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
The woman received a small laceration to the back of her hand and was treated by Ambulance Paramedics at the scene.
The man is described as being approximately 165cm tall, in his late teens and of a slim build.
Police are continuing to investigate two armed robberies at businesses in Fortitude Valley yesterday which they believe may be linked.
Around 11.05am a man entered a retail store on Ann Street and demanded money from the attendant stating he was armed with a knife.
No money was obtained and the man left the store when a member of the public entered the premises.
Around 11.40am a man attended a Brunswick Street café before demanding a female staff member hand over cash from the till while claiming he was armed with a knife.
The man stole a quantity of cash and fled the scene.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall with a solid build and blonde hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue trousers, and was carrying a backpack.
No one was physically injured during the incidents.
Police are investigating the armed robbery of a pizza driver at Robina in the early hours of this morning.
Around 12.10am the pizza driver was outside a Concord Circuit address when he was approached by two males as he exited his vehicle. The first male took the pizzas while the second male produced a handgun and made demands for money.
No money was obtained by the males.
The offenders ran from the scene with the pizzas.
The pizza driver was not physically injured during the incident.
Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a massage parlour in Camperdown overnight.
About 10pm yesterday (Monday 5 August 2013), one man armed with a gun, entered the business on Parramatta Road while the other male waited outside for him.
The male threatened two female employees with the firearm and demanded money.
The male took cash before fleeing the premises.
Police from Leichhardt Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by the Evidence Recovery Unit.
The first man has been described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 180cm to 190cm tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a white tracksuit top and pants.
The second man has been described as having a tanned complexion and dark hair. He was wearing light coloured clothing and a white baseball cap.

About 6.20pm (Saturday 3 August 2013), three men entered the business on Awaba Road and demanded money.
They threatened staff with a firearm and fled the location a short time later with a cash box, containing cash.
Witnesses gave chase but were unable to stop the men and they were last seen running along Awaba Road. No one was injured during the incident.
Police were called and launched an investigation into the incident. Specialist officers also assisted in an extensive search of the surrounding area, but the group could not be found.
The men are described as being between 17-20 years of age, about 155-170cm tall and were last seen wearing dark-coloured clothing, balaclavas, hooded jumpers and gloves.
Detectives are continuing to pursue a number of lines of inquiry and urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could assist investigators to come forward.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a tanned complexion, 40-50 years of age, about 170cm tall, with a medium build, discoloured teeth, a short grey and white-coloured beard and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing light-coloured pants, a grey jumper and large grey jacket with the hood pulled over his head and heavy duty gloves.

About 4pm, a man entered the Queen Street salon telling staff he had knife.
He demanded money from the female employee and was given a quantity of cash.
The man left the store and was last seen on Queen Street. It is not known which direction he went.
He was described to police as being 172cm tall and aged in his early 30s. When he was last seen the man was wearing a black top and long black pants.
Police were informed the man’s face was concealed during the robbery.

Around 9.10pm a man entered the Grand Plaza Drive store before producing a knife and demanding a female employee hand over cash from the till.
The staff member complied with his demands and the man fled the scene with a sum of cash.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as being about 175cm tall with a heavy build and having a New Zealand accent. He was wearing a balaclava and a dark jumper.
Investigations are continuing.
