Maroondah Crime Investigation detectives have arrested a man following an armed robbery in Croydon last week.

The incident occurred in the Main Street shop just before 8am.

The male staff member sustained stab wounds during the incident.

Detectives arrested a man today after they executed a search warrant in Plumer Street, Croydon.

A 33-year-old Croydon man has been charged with armed robbery, intentionally cause serious injury, common law assault and make threats to kill.

He has been remanded in custody until 13 April.

Sydney brothel owner robbed at gunpoint

Police are investigating following an armed robbery in Ingleburn overnight.

Just after 3.00am (Monday 15 January 2018), three men entered a business on Lancaster Street, armed with a firearm.

The men threatened an employee, demanding money.

The men fled with cash.

Officers from Macquarie Fields and Campbelltown Local Area Commands established a crime scene and have commenced investigations.

The employee was not physically injured.

Police have arrested three men in relation to two armed robberies in the southern suburbs of Melbourne.

A 23-year-old Dandenong North man was arrested yesterday in relation to the following alleged incidents on Sunday 7 January:

– Aggravated burglary at a business address on Princes Highway near Power Road in Doveton about 6.45am

– Armed robbery at a service station near the intersection of Elizabeth Street and the South Gippsland Highway in Cranbourne North about 1.20pm

He was charged with a number of offences including aggravated burglary, prohibited person possess firearm, theft of motor vehicle, commit indictable offence whilst on bail and armed robbery.

The man was remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 5 April.

A 23-year-old man from Hampton Park was arrested on 9 January in relation to the armed robbery and was released pending further enquiries.

Police also arrested a man yesterday following an alleged aggravated burglary at Brunel Street, Malvern which occurred between 12 and 15 May, 2017.

The 26-year-old Chadstone man is also assisting with enquiries in relation to an alleged jewellery store armed robbery in Malvern East on 18 May, 2017.

He has been released pending summons.

Members of the Northern Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested a 16 year old male from Youngtown in relation to the armed robbery of the Eastside Newsagency located on Prosser’s Forrest Road, Ravenswood. This offence occurred at 6:40am on 01/01/2018.

The male is due to face an out of hour’s court session at 8pm this evening in Launceston.

Police would like to thank the community for their patience and assistance with the ongoing investigation.

Police are appealing for information after a bakery was robbed at Casino today.

About 12.15am (Wednesday 10 January 2018), up to four men entered the bakery on Johnston Street and confronted two employees working inside.

Police were told the men were armed with a firearm and a crowbar and demanded cash.

The two employees, aged 54 and 19, complied with the demand.

The men took cash from the till, the men’s wallets and keys and drinks from the shop before leaving in one of the employee’s vehicles.

The car was later found alight in Queensland Street.

Officers from Richmond Local Area Command attended and searched for the men with the assistance of the dog unit, but were unable to locate them.

The men are only described as being of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander appearance with skinny builds and were wearing dark clothing.

A man has been charged following the alleged armed robbery of a business in Norman Park last night.

It will be alleged around 9:15pm a man armed with a knife entered a store on Bennetts Road and placed a bag on the counter before demanding money from the male employee.

The employee complied and the armed man allegedly fled with a sum of cash.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

Police today arrested and charged a 35-year-old Norman Park man with armed robbery.

He is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow (December 20).

Police are investigating an armed robbery of a business in Norman Park yesterday evening.

Around 9:15pm, a man armed with a weapon has entered a store on Bennetts Road and placed a bag on the counter before demanding the male shop assistant place money into the bag.

The assistant complied and the armed man has then left the shop towards Milsom Street.

Police located a number of items believed to be involved in the incident nearby, including clothing and a knife.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 195cm tall, with a tanned complexion and a long, gaunt face.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam vision from the area to contact police.

A woman will face court tomorrow charged with armed robbery in Bankstown last month.

About 9am on Friday 10 November 2017, a woman was opening a store at a Bankstown shopping centre when she was approached by a woman who was armed with a knife.

The employee was threatened and the woman demanded money. She was given a quantity of money from the tills and safe. The woman left the complex in an unknown direction. The store employee wasn’t injured.

Officers attached to Bankstown Local Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.

Today (Monday 18 December 2017), a 26-year-old woman attended Campbelltown Police Station.

She was arrested and charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon x3.

The woman was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 19 December 2017).

Police have charged a woman over an alleged armed robbery at Narellan today.

About 8.50am (Friday 15 December 2017), a woman, allegedly armed with a kitchen knife, threatened staff at a clothing store on Camden Valley Way. The woman then fled the location with cash.

The woman was stopped by a member of the public and police were called.

The woman was arrested by police shortly after.

She was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon and larceny.

The 29-year-old woman was refused bail to attend Campbelltown Local Court today (Friday 15 December 2017).

A man has been charged following the armed robbery of an adult store in Mackay on Monday night.

It will be alleged on December 11 a man entered an adult store on Wood Street around 8.30pm and approached the counter armed with a hammer.

The man allegedly threatened the female attendant before fleeing the store with a sum of cash.

No one was physically inured as a result of the incident.

Information received by police from members of the public following the airing of CCTV vision by local media outlets led to the arrest of a 24-year-old East Mackay man yesterday.

He was charged with armed robbery, enter premises and commit indictable offence, possession of dangerous drugs and possessing utensils and is due to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court today (December 14).
