Two men will face court following an investigation into an aggravated robbery in Casino at the weekend.
Police have been told about 7am on Sunday 25 March 2018, three men, armed with a knife and metal pole, approached a 61-year-old man who was opening a store on Centre Street.
The men threatened the attendant before he was assaulted and slashed with the knife whilst attempting to defend himself.
One of the men stole an amount of cash. The men left the scene on foot shortly before police arrival.
The employee was taken to Lismore Hospital for treatment to a laceration on his face.
Officers from Richmond Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, two men, aged 20 and 45, were arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station.
The 20-year-old was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and cause wounding.
The 45-year-old was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and cause wounding, robbery armed with offensive weapon and an outstanding warrant.
Both men were refused bail to appear before Lismore Local Court today (Wednesday 28 March 2018).
Inquiries are continuing.
Detectives are investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred at Park Avenue (Rockhampton) yesterday afternoon.
At about 2.10pm, a man entered a retail business on Yaamba Road and removed a pair of headphones from the shelf prior to attempting to exit the store without paying for the item.
When a male staff member confronted the man about the property, the man produced a knife and threatened the staff member.
The man fled the scene a short time later with the headphones.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police are appealing to any members of the public who know the identity of the man (pictured) or his whereabouts to contact police, as police believe the man may be able to assist them with their inquiries.
Police are investigating an armed robbery in Noble Park this morning.
It is believed a man, armed with a box cutter, approached the counter of a business address on Leonard Avenue about 8.50am.
He jumped the counter and grabbed the female store attendant, demanding cash from the till.
An amount of cash was grabbed from the till and the offender fled on foot towards Leonard Avenue.
The victim was uninjured.
The man is believed to be aged in his early 40s with short straight black hair and dark-coloured eyes.
He was wearing a black leather jacket, black pants and sneakers.
Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

The man threatened the attendant and demanded cash but was disturbed by a delivery driver who entered the shop from the rear of the store.
The offender ran from the store into school grounds nearby.
Investigators have released CCTV, captured from the nearby school, of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
He is believed to be aged in his late teens, approximately 185cm tall with a thin build, and was wearing a white face mask or balaclava, black hooded jumper and dark coloured pants.
Three people have been charged following an armed robbery at a business in Padstow yesterday.
About 6.20pm (Wednesday 28 February 2018), two males entered a shop on Gibson Avenue and allegedly produced a knife, threatening the operator.
The two fled a short time later with cash and were last seen entering a red vehicle which travelled west on Louie Street.
No one was injured during the robbery.

A short time later officers from the Traffic & Highway Patrol Command observed a red Nissan Navara on Milperra Road at Milperra.

At the time of the incident, it was believed around 60 firearms may have been stolen during the armed robbery.
A subsequent audit by the Victoria Police Licensing and Regulation Division determined that 37 firearms had been taken.

One man is described as being of Indian/Sub-Continental appearance with a dark complexion. He was wearing a light coloured hooded jumper and face covering with dark pants.
The second man is described as having a light complexion and was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper and dark pants.
Both men are believed to be between 20 and 30 years of age.
