Regional Investigations Unit officers are investigating an armed robbery on an adult bookshop in Elder Place Fremantle on 11 November 2012.

At 12.49pm, a man and woman entered the bookshop and looked around for a short period of time before approaching the front counter.

The man then produced a handgun from his pants pocket and threatened the female shop attendant for money.

The two offenders were given an amount of cash before leaving the store. They were last seen running along Beach Street towards the

Woolstores Shopping Centre.

The male offender is described as being fair skinned, approximately 180cm tall, between 20-40 years of age and with short brown hair.

The female offender is described as also being fair-skinned, approximately 150cm tall and around 45 years of age.

Clarkson Detectives are seeking information regarding a robbery in Clarkson on Friday afternoon, 16 November 2012.

About 4:30pm a 61 year old woman withdrew a large amount of cash from the Commonwealth Bank ATM outside the Ocean Keys Shopping Centre in Clarkson. The woman drove to the car park behind the nearby Clarkson Library where she was approached by a man who grabbed her handbag.

The woman was forced to the ground as the handbag was pulled away. The offender left with her purse after discarding the handbag.

The offender is described as being in his twenties, olive skinned, about 178cm tall and of stocky build. At the time of the offence he was wearing dark pants, a navy blue hoodie top,

and dark glasses.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to an armed robbery in Hilton on Wednesday 5 October 2011.

About 7:45pm a man entered the pharmacy on South Street, Hilton and approached the counter. He produced a large knife and demanded medications.

The staff member complied with the demands and the offender left the store with an amount of medications.

Detectives today executed search warrants in Leeming and Willagee, and arrested a 28 year old man from Willagee. He has since been charged with Armed Robbery and will appear in

the Fremantle Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday 16 November 2012.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to eight attempted armed robbery and armed robbery incidents in the last six weeks in the South Metropolitan

and Central Metropolitan districts.

Detectives had been investigating the following eight incidents: – 8 October 2012 – About 8:30pm man entered a supermarket in Mount Pleasant armed

with what appeared to be a blood filled syringe and demanded cash. He left with an amount of cash.

– 13 October 2012 – About 10:35am a man entered a bottle shop in Mount Pleasant armed with a knife and demanded cash. He left with an amount of cash.

– 16 October 2012 – About 8:45am a man entered a service station in Bullcreek armed with a knife and demanded cash. He left with an amount of cash in a Toyota Hilux.

– 21 October 2012 – About 6:50pm a man entered a fast food restaurant in Melville armed with a knife and demanded cash. He left with an amount of cash.

– 23 October 2012 – About 9:55pm a man entered a service station in Myaree armed with a knife and demanded cash. He left with an amount of cash.

– 25 October 2012 – About 6:20am a man entered a service station in Attadale armed with a knife. When one staff member called out to another to call police the man fled

the scene empty handed.

– 25 October 2012 – About 7:30pm a man approached a service station in Peppermint Grove armed with a knife. The doors to service station were locked and the staff

member saw the knife and refused to open the doors. The man fled the scene empty handed.

– 27 October 2012 – About 8:10pm a man entered a fast food restaurant in Ardross armed with a knife and demanded cash. He left with an amount of cash.

With the assistance of the Regional Operations Group, Fremantle Detectives, Murdoch Detectives, South Metropolitan District Crime Team and district intelligence officers, Regional

Investigations Unit detectives yesterday located and arrested a 27 year old Leeming man.

The man has since been charged with six counts of Armed Robbery and two counts of Attempted Armed Robbery, and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Thursday

15 November 2012.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a fourth person in relation to an armed robbery offence in Port Kennedy on Wednesday 7 June 2012.

About 12:00am four people entered the store on Fielden Way and approached the counter.

It will be alleged two of the people in the group were armed with hammers, and a staff member at the store was assaulted with both weapons, receiving head and shoulder injuries.

The staff member was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to his injuries.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives arrested a 19 year old man (age is at time of incident and arrest) on Wednesday 4 July 2012 and charged him with Aggravated Armed Robbery.

An 18 year old man (age is at time of incident and arrest) was charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery by Regional Investigations Unit detectives on Friday 6 July 2012 after he

was identified as a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped by the traffic Enforcement Group.

A 17 year old boy (16 years old at time of incident) was charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery by Regional Investigations Unit detectives on Wednesday 7 November 2012 after

returning to Australia from New Zealand a few days earlier.

A fourth person of interest to the investigation was located by Regional Investigations Unit detectives yesterday, Wednesday 14 November 2012, after returning to Australia from New

Zealand a few days earlier. The 17 year old boy from Golden Bay (same age as at time of incident) has been charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery and will appear in the Perth

Children’s Court today, Thursday 15 November 2012.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to an armed robbery in Kenwick yesterday, Wednesday 14 November 2012.

About 3:50pm a man entered the Kenwick Pharmacy on Belmont Road, Kenwick wearing a motorcycle helmet. After being in the store for a number of minutes it will be alleged the man

approached the counter and threatened a staff member with what appeared to be a blood filled syringe, demanding medications.

The staff member complied with the demands and the man left the store with an amount of medications.

As the man left the store he was detained by another man who had become aware of the incident. Police attended and took him into custody, and he was then interviewed by

detectives from the Regional Investigations Unit.

A 28 year old man from Maddington has been charged with Armed Robbery and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Thursday 15 November 2012.

Kalgoorlie Detectives have charged a man in relation to an armed robbery in Kalgoorlie last night, Wednesday 14 November 2012.

About 9:40pm a man entered the Star & Garter Hotel on Hannan Street and engaged in conversation with a staff member. He then left the hotel and about 9:50pm he approached

the bottle shop part of the hotel with his face covered.

It will be alleged the man produced a firearm and pointed it at a staff member, who then fearing for her safety ran from the store. The offender then picked up a bottle of alcohol and

left the store.

Police conducted patrols of the area and observed a person matching the offenders description enter a house on Egan Street. Officers followed and located a man hiding under a

sofa bed. A search of the property located a number of items of interest, including a plastic imitation firearm.

A 23 year old man from Kalgoorlie has been charged with Armed Robbery and will appear in the Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court today, Thursday 15 November 2012.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information regarding an armed robbery in Kingsley on Monday 22 October 2012.

About 6:50pm a staff member was closing a liquor store and noticed a man standing outside acting suspiciously.

The man then covered his face with a balaclava and entered the store. He partially opened his jacket to reveal the handle of a firearm, possibly a shotgun and demanded cash.

The staff member complied with the man’s request and he left the store with an amount of cash.

The offender is described as fair skinned, about 173cm tall, of solid build, with blue eyes and brown facial hair that was greying. At the time of the offence he was wearing a dark jacket

with a high visibility vest over the top, a black balaclava that may also have been worn as a beanie, dark pants and black/white sneakers.

South West Detectives have charged a man in relation to an armed robbery incident in Withers on Tuesday 6 November 2012.

About 8:50pm three men arrived at the Chicken Treat store located at the Minninup Forum Shopping Centre in Withers. All three men were wearing balaclavas. Two of the men, who

were armed with knives, entered the store while the third remained at the entrance door.

The two men threatened two staff members and demanded they open the cash tills. The staff complied with the request and three men left with an amount of cash.

As part of the ongoing investigation South West Detectives travelled to Harvey and arrested a local 18 year old man, who has since been charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery. He

will appear in the Bunbury Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 14 November 2012.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information regarding a robbery at a pharmacy in Wembley on Sunday 4 November 2012.

A man approached the locked front door of the pharmacy covering his face with a plastic bag.

A staff member approached the door and he stated he had a blood nose. The staff member then opened the door and the man entered the pharmacy.

Once inside he demanded the staff member open the safe. During this time another customer approached the door and the staff member was instructed to let that person in, and

that person was then told to stay where they were.

The staff member, fearing for the safety of her other customer and herself, complied with the man’s demands and he left with an amount of medications and cash. He was last seen riding

away on a dark motorcycle.

The offender is described as being in his mid 20’s, fair skinned, about 185 – 190cm tall and of slim build. He was wearing a dark long rain jacket, dark pants and dark sunglasses.
