Regional Investigation Unit are calling for help from the public in their investigations into two recent Armed Robberies which they believe are linked.

In the first incident a male offender approached the counter of a Huntingdale Pharmacy at 4.45pm on Sunday 22 April and threatened the female staff member with a knife whilst demanding money from the till.

He then reached over the counter and took the tray from the till and ran from the store.

 In the second incident, at 7.08pm on Monday 23 April, a male threatened staff at a Kenwick Liquor Store with a knife and demanded cash. Cash was put on the counter and he gathered it up and ran from the store to a waiting vehicle.

The offender is described as ;-

Male, fair complexion, late 30’s, 185 to 190cm, medium to solid build, Australian accent. On each occasion he tried to obscure his facial features with white adhesive tape.

The vehicle he is believed to have used is a gold coloured late model sedan. The number plate has been obscured with tape or paper.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are calling for the public’s assistance in their investigation of an armed robbery offence in Scarborough this morning. At about 1:50am, a staff member at the Caltex Service Station located on Scarborough Beach Rd was vacuuming the floor when he saw a man standing at the front doors. The staff member believed he was a customer wanting to make a purchase and let him in. The man walked up to the counter and pointed a gun at the staff member, demanding he give him money. The staff member put the till on the counter and the offender grabbed the notes from the till before running out of the store. The offender ran east towards Scarborough Beach Road. The offender is described as being fair skinned, about 25 to 30 years of age, approximately 173 to 175cms tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper pulled over his head and black sunglasses.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are calling for the public’s assistance in their investigation of a violent armed robbery offence in Perth on Friday 23 March 2012. At about 9:00pm, two women were locking up a Beauty Salon in Hay Street Perth when a person armed with a knife entered the salon. The offender threatened the women demanding they hand over money. The offender forced the women into a room, turned off the lights and closed the door whilst rummaging through the store before fleeing with a sum of money. The offender was wearing dark clothing with a stocking or beanie over their face. It is not known if the offender was a man or woman. Police are asking anyone who saw the incident or has any information regarding the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Karratha Detectives are calling for the public’s assistance in their investigation of an assault on Monday 19 March 2012.

At about 3:40pm, a 21 year old male employee of the Evolution Lounge Bar exited the premises to walk to his car when he was assaulted by a male offender. The man also stole the weekend’s takings from the bar that the employee was carrying.

The offender fled, jumping a fence and getting into the passenger seat of an older model faded blue sedan, possibly a Honda Accord or Civic. The car had a distinctive roof rack described as two straight black bars running across the roof (not the moulded type) protruding beyond the edge of the roof. The vehicle’s number plate white with blue writing.

The victim received head and facial injuries and was taken to the Nickol Bay Hospital for treatment.

The offender is described as being in his mid twenties, fair skinned, of slim build with light blonde hair cut in a number two or three crew cut style.

He was wearing a yellow high visibility long sleeve top and dark work pants. He had a black hood or bag over his head.

The driver of the car is described as being a fair skinned man, wearing a dark singlet.

 

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to an armed robbery in Midland on Saturday 12 February 2012.

At about 4:10pm, a man armed with a knife entered the St Andrews Pharmacy located on The Crescent and threatened staff members, demanding prescription medication.

At one point the man held the knife against a staff member’s face, once again demanding prescription medication.

Detectives would like to speak to a man who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being in his late 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 180cms tall, fair skinned and of medium build.

He was wearing a red and black Holden branded singlet with white writing across the front chest area, black and blue board style shorts and a red baseball cap.

Fremantle detectives are seeking help from the public in the investigation of a robbery that

occurred at the BWS liquor store in Beaconsfield on 3 January this year.

At about 7.30 PM on Tuesday 3 January 2012, a female entered the store and selected a

bottle of Jack Daniels from a display.

She then headed towards the exit and as the store attendant was about to challenge her, a

male person started yelling, raised a brick above his head and threw it at the attendant,

narrowly missing his face.

Both then ran out of the store together.

Detectives would like to speak to the male and female pictured, whom they believe may be

able to assist with inquiries.

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are seeking information regarding two armed robbery offences which were committed in Bull Creek on Friday 20 January 2012 and Leeming on Saturday 21 January 2012.

The first offence, at the Red Rooster store on Benningfield Road, Bull Creek took place about 8:40pm on Friday 20 January 2012. The offender entered the store, produced a knife and demanded cash. Staff complied with his demands and he left the store with an amount of cash. He was last seen running across Benningfield Road.

The second offence, at the Chicken Treat store on Findlay Road, Leeming took place about 10:20am on Saturday 21 January 2012. The offender entered the store and produced a knife and demanded cash. Staff complied with his demands and he left the store with an amount of cash. He was last seen near the roundabout intersection of Findlay Road and Farrington Road, possibly running into a park area.

The offender is described as fair skinned, early to mid 20’s, 180cm tall, with black mid length curly hair and a dark moustache. In both incidents the man wore a black t-shirt, dark shorts and dark shoes and was armed with a small knife.

Police are asking anyone who has information regarding these offences, or who recognises the man pictured below to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Detectives from the Regional Investigations Unit have charged a 35 year old man following an armed robbery in Beechboro on 7 November, 2012.

It will be alleged that about 6.00pm, the man – armed with a Samurai sword, enteredLiquorland in Beechboro and threatened a female staff member for cash.

The alleged offender stole a quantity of money before fleeing from the store.

Investigators executed a search warrant at his Subiaco home yesterday (Monday 23 January) where he was later arrested.

He was charged with one count of Armed Robbery and three counts of Stealing (for unrelated matters).

He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.

Detectives from the Regional Investigation Unit have charged a 17 year old man and a 23 year old man with Aggravated Armed Robbery and Criminal Damage by Fire following an incident at Woodies Charcoal Chicken on Albany Highway, Kelmscott. The incident occurred at about 9.00pm on Monday 16 January 2012.

It will be alleged that three offenders, armed with a silver hand gun and a shopping trolley pole entered Woodies Charcoal Chicken and proceeded to strike a staff member around the head with the pole. The offenders stole cash and a 2004 Ford Futura. The vehicle was later found burnt out.

On 20 January, as a result of enquiries two persons of interest were identified and apprehended. Both offenders were remanded in custody to appear in East Perth Magistrates Court today – 21 January 2012.

Inquiries are continuing to identify the third offender.

Regional Investigations Unit Detectives are seeking information from the general public in relation to

the female wanted for committing an Attempted Armed Robbery at the Marangaroo Super Deli,

Marangaroo Drive in Girrawheen on the afternoon of Saturday 14 January 2012.

At about 3.55 pm a female entered the store and approached the counter. The shop assistant walked over behind the counter to serve her and the female produced a knife, demanding cash. The shop assistant called out and the female ran out of the deli.

 She is described as dark skinned, approximately 20 years old, about 163-165cm tall and of heavy build with long dark hair tied in a pony tail. She was wearing a black dress, black top, and dark sunglasses.
