June 18, 2011 – Kidnapping – Guilford West

A man has been charged following an alleged kidnapping in Sydney’s north-west.

About 7pm on Thursday 16 June 2011, police were alerted to a report of a concern for welfare after a man and woman went missing from an address in Guilford West.

Following investigations, police located the pair in Rosehill about 4pm yesterday (Friday 17 June 2011).

A 49-year-old woman was assessed by Ambulance Paramedics at the scene and a 53-year-old man was arrested and taken to Merrylands Police Station.

He was later charged with a number of offences including kidnapping.

The man will appear at Parramatta Local Court today.

Investigations into the incident continue.
