Police will hold an information caravan tomorrow in Brunswick in an effort to gain more information about a stabbing and armed robbery in the suburb earlier in the month.

The caravan will be set up at Brunswick Railway Station on Albert Street, Brunswick between 6-7am on Monday 1 August.

Anyone with information in relation to the incident is encouraged to come and speak to investigators.

A 25-year-old woman was walking along Albert Street to the Brunswick Railway Station when a man approached her from behind about 6.25am on 25 July.

He put his hand over her mouth and demanded her handbag.

The Brunswick woman has handed over her bag to the man, who then stabbed her in the neck and fled.

Police are looking for a man who is about 170cm tall, with a thin build and wearing a black jacket and pants.

Investigators also previously released an image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident
