August 11, 2011 – Armed Robbery – Bag Snatch – Robina

 A 36-year-old woman who was chasing two thieves who had snatched her backpack ended her chase after one of the men turned and produced an Conductive Energy Device (CED) at Robina last night.

Around 9.35pm the woman was sitting in a bus stop on University Drive when two men approached, grabbed her backpack and fled on foot.

The woman ran after the men for a short distance but stopped pursing them when one of the men turned and threatened her. The pair was last seen running towards Cottesloe Drive.

The men are described as Caucasian, aged in their late teens, approximately 170cms tall and wearing dark clothing. One of the men had blonde hair, the other brown hair. 

The woman was not injured, the ECD was not fired and police investigations are continuing.
