August 29, 2011 – Armed Robbery – Yalumba St Medical Centre – Kingston

Police have charged a 28-year-old man following an armed robbery at a medical centre at Kingston on Saturday.

It is alleged a man entered the business on Yalumba Street around 2pm armed with a knife.

He allegedly fled the store with a quantity of drugs after threatening a staff member.

The local man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, dangerous operation of a vehicle, fail to stop and unlicenced driving.

He has been held in custody to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
